Move Me Annie McDonnell

They are the poets,

our weaver of words,

collectors of thoughts.

Putting words to paper,

Sunflower fields become oceans.

A touch becomes electronic light.

Then, suddenly,

The Words

Are Whispered

through the wind.

On flights of air

and become the breeze,

That lightly caresses us.

They’ll bring us to attention

And even to our knees,

Weeping and loving.

They are the Poets,

They fix the broken

And revere the unnoticed.

Make us see the unseen.

They remind you,

To look at the Stars,

But see them in your hands.

These wordsmiths,

Move mountains,

and hearts, and hope.

Even Stir Souls.

They cross

Seas, and Countries,

And continents.

The world.

They move farther

than airplanes and ships.

They are the ones

that will unite us.
