The downtown is filled with locally-owned shops and boutiques offering a variety of goods. Whether you’re in search of the perfect antique armoire or a small trinket to bring home to the kids, you can find it all along the inviting streets. Pine Mountain also has an interesting collection of local artists and craftsmen who sell their work in various parts of the area. After a day of shopping, grab a bite to eat in one of the many restaurants in the area. If you’re looking for a quick snack, stop in one of our area cafes for a sandwich, or a taste of local barbecue, or maybe, some hand-dipped ice cream. For a finer dining experience, we boast of a broad selection of restaurants that appeal to any appetite and are all served with our local specialty — southern kindness. Only a few minutes from downtown, you will find an assortment of activities that appeal to every member of the family. If you love spending your afternoon swinging a golf club, then Callaway Gardens is home to one of the finest golf courses in the state. Horseback riding, fishing or hiking the trails of FDR State Park are other great ways to spend the day in our area, and our beautiful countryside has become a favorite for cyclists.
