Festival Highlights • Juried Artist’s Market: Features hand-made jewelry, distinctive crafts and unique gifts. • Business & Civic Expo: A unique opportunity for businesses and civic organizations to showcase their services to thousands of attendees, while also getting to know the local community. • Collector Car Show: An eclectic array of your favorite classic automobiles and sports cars. • Children’s Park: Activities especially for younger children including hands-on crafts, a petting zoo and pony rides. • Teen Territory: Games geared toward the older set. • Doug Kessler Lightning 10K/5K: USATFcertified road race that kicks off the Festival weekend; starts at 7:30a.m. on Saturday, September 26th. The Sandy Springs Festival has grown into a two-day event drawing over 20,000 people to the heart of our now incorporated City. A celebration of community and tradition, the Festival serves as a testament to the volunteers who joined together to champion causes and improve the quality of life decades before Sandy Springs became a City. We celebrate their grassroots efforts as we invite over 600 artists, crafters, entertainers, and vendors to Heritage Green.

Mt. Vernon Highway. Known for its “fast” course, the race is a Peachtree Road Race qualifier. Food Court: A variety of tasty treats from local restaurants and regional vendors. Heritage Crafters: A group of talented guest crafters demonstrating traditional 19th century activities such as blacksmithing, quilting, doll-making and weaving. Honey of Sandy Springs Contest: A contest designed to raise money for Heritage Sandy Springs – men and women, aged 0–100, who live, work or play in Sandy Springs compete for the title. Kiwanis Pet Parade: Pets of all shapes and sizes parade through the Festival sporting creative and crazy costumes. Prizes awarded in a variety of categories! The Sandy Springs Society Entertainment Lawn & Stage: Features a variety of local amateur and professional performers throughout each day.

• Silent Auction: An eclectic assortment of items including gift certificates, jewelry and special trips. • GA CHIP Program: Georgia Free Masons present this free child safety program to help law enforcement authorities find and identify a lost or missing child. • Heritage Sandy Springs Museum: Features a special 25th anniversary exhibit highlighting the history of the Sandy Springs Festival and a new pictorial history book for sale. • Heritage Homegrown Market: Featuring natural and organic food and products from local growers and artisans. • Health and Wellness Area: An area designed to provide health screenings and educational resources on health to Festival attendees.
