Ohme Gardens: A delightful alpine oasis

T
he Ohme Gardens will take your breath away. Filled with alpine meadows, dainty wildflowers and shimmering streams, the gardens are nothing short of enchanting. Spend an afternoon picnicking among the wildflowers or explore the rugged paths. In 1929, Herman Ohme purchased the land that would eventually be dubbed Ohme Gardens. Originally intended to be an orchard,
Herman and his wife were inspired by the breathtaking views of the Wenatchee Valley and Cascade Mountains that the craggy bluff offered and created the beautiful alpine escape we see today. The work was done over many long years, largely by hand, and is a true masterpiece of hard work, love and devotion. The gardens are open daily from April 15 through Oct. 15.
