We are preparing to open as soon as it is allowed and it is deemed safe to do so. Whilst we have been off, we have been preparing for our comeback. We have had Radic8 clean air systems installed throughout. These filter the air and are proven to have a kill rate against coronavirus, adenovirus, influenza virus and polio virus along with other bacterial and fungal infections of 99.99% in a single air pass through. This also filters other air pollutants and mercury vapour. We have also updated our general suction units to have as much high speed suction as possible, to both chairs. We have stocked up on the required PPE, and our flow through of patients has been practised, to ensure all our patients are as safe as we can make dentistry be. See advert page 10.

No 2 Pound Street recognition

In April, No 2 Pound Street received a thank you from PM Boris Johnson, who had a selection of their farmhouse and artisan cheese during his stay at Chequers whilst recovering from COVID-19. James Grant from No 2 said: “Importantly, he [the PM] recognises the sacrifices that small producers/businesses are making and will give us all the support we need. Times are going to be tough but we will all be stronger as a nation after this.”

Tim Russ & Co art for Key Workers

Wendover estate agent Tim Russ & Co recently replaced the houses in its window display with pictures done by local children. Staff member Kelly said: “Their artwork is amazing - they’ve spent so much time and effort creating artwork to thank our NHS and key workers and we are very, very proud of them.”
