Haringtons Hair Salons come out of Lockdown fighting Recruit 70 new jobs across the South of England

Haringtons Hair Group are defying the slow down in the retail sector and have made the decision to come back to the High Street fighting. Despite the global pandemic forcing the business to place more than 150 staff on furlough until early July, Haringtons predicts a bright future and is looking to secure talent both from within hairdressing and from the hospitality sector, recruiting more than 70 jobs across its salons in Beaconsfield, Maidenhead, Marlow, Northwood, Reading, Southampton, Wendover, Winchester and Windsor.

Nikki Neale, Head of Brand, Marketing and Acquisition commented - “Despite many hairdressing businesses being forced to close due to the effects of the Covid 19 pandemic, Haringtons used the crisis as an opportunity to improve our business at all levels. Most importantly we are a people business, we have taken good care of our talent during lockdown, furloughing our teams and topping their salaries up to 100% as well as providing additional training, but we recognise we don’t have enough people to reach our growth ambitions.” She further comments, “Our clients want us to be be open longer hours and on Sundays to accommodate their busy lifestyles, as we pride ourselves on bringing our clients the best in customer experience, we need to recruit to accommodate them. Our salon structure means we can welcome people who want more unusual hours if needed not just the 9-5, if people would like to apply they just need to go to our website Haringtons.com.”

Haringtons Group have continued to invest throughout the lockdown, not just in talent, but in the development of their salons, rebrand, tools and technologies all supporting their focus on the future and improved customer experience, seeing the future of the High Street being led by service businesses such as theirs.

Tims Dairy Rebrand

Tims Dairy have completely rebranded their classic range of award-winning bio-live Greek style yogurts with a market leading modern fresh and happy new look and feel.

The ‘famous five’ flavours are Greek style with Vanilla, Raspberry, Blackcurrants and Honey with a Natural yogurt too. Key messages on the 10 skus – 5 big pots of 450g (Flavours) or 500g (Natural) and 5 medium pots of 175g (Flavours) or 200g (Natural) – reinforce their Greek Heritage, British Made – using British milk in full support of UK farmers, recyclability of every element of the packaging and bio-live. Consumer awareness of health messages has been transformed during Covid; the role of bio-live cultures in gut health and immunity support - as well as the excitement and new enthusiasm for home baking and the importance of good quality ingredients for home cooking.

The basics of the previous branding date back to 2009. To fulfil a need for a fresher look, better stand-out on shelf and clearer on-pot messaging for the consumer – as well as bringing new reduced levels of added sugar in the flavoured yogurts Tims Dairy worked closely with top London Design Agency Wonderland. The brief included reinforcing the core identity, or brand ethos, of Tims Dairy – the Daisy.

The inspiration for the new look has been our beautiful daisy logo which now has pride of place on the front of the pot. Our key message of “Greek Heritage, British Made” comes through and our support of UK farmers continues, using only fresh British milk. Our Greek style Natural yogurt has no added sugar and we have reduced the sugar in the flavoured yogurts without any compromise on great taste or quality.

“We wanted to bring some energy, freshness and optimism to the yogurt category – and a thank you to excite our loyal fans, old and the many new ones from the last few months. We have been ‘Creating Amazing Since 1949’ and we’re not going to stop now!” says Managing Director Chris Timotheou.

“We began the project just before the onset of Covid 19 and decided to forge ahead to bring some excitement and positivity to the category as we all try to bounce back stronger from Covid.”

Look out for the packaging on shelf in Sweeney’s Budgens of Wendover, Waitrose, Ocado, selected Asda, Co-op, Whole Food Markets, and many fabulous farm shops and delis up and down the country.
