Friends of Wendover Health Centre
Friends of Wendover Health Centre would like your help! Transporting WHC patients to medical appointments As hospital clinics and doctors’ surgeries open up to more patients, our current drivers are only just keeping up with requests for transport.
We are looking for new volunteers to join our happy team of drivers to take patients of Wendover Health Centre to medical appointments
If you enjoy driving and would like to support those who are unable to make their own way to hospital or the surgery we need you!
Our bookings are made over the telephone between 1 and 3pm each weekday, you choose when you are available and how far you are willing to travel. Drivers can claim petrol allowance at the rate of 45p a mile. Our main venues are hospitals at Stoke Mandeville, High Wycombe, Amersham and Oxford plus the Westongrove surgeries and local clinics.
As a charity we are always pleased to accept donations from our patients.
Newly retired or new to the area and think this role sounds interesting?
