HS2 Construction in Wendover - Update
February and March will be a busy time for HS2 in Wendover. To complete our works safely and efficiently, some of our activities will require traffic management to be introduced. This will be either in the form of a lane closure with two- or three-way lights, a narrowing of the carriageway or a full road closure. Further details on the above will be communicated via the HS2 website and emails in due course.
There are many reasons why we might require traffic management to be put in place, but all will be to ensure the safety of road users and our workforce. Where possible we will choose traffic management to be operational in off-peak hours or during school holidays to reduce the impact on road users as much as possible.
If we are closing a road, we will always provide a fully signposted diversion route. All diversion routes are required by law to be directed onto like for like roads; this is for the safety of road users and to ensure roads are of the same standard as the one being closed.
To stay informed of our works and to keep up to date with any impacts to local roads, please register for email updates on the HS2 website. To find out more, visit your community website at www. hs2.org.uk/in-your-area/
