Lakefront Entertainment Year Round JANUARY Incredible red and purple sunsets in cold clear weather. Snow capped Olympic Mountains. Duck watching by the dock. FEBRUARY Geese and duck mating season, fun to watch. Primroses bloom until May planting for summer. Hostas in the rock garden begin to peek out. MARCH UW crew begin workouts and often two or four boats come by. Daffodils begin to bloom. APRIL Twin asian pear trees blossom white, and Japanese maple trees leaf out. Davidii blooms appear, azaleas and rhodys bud and bloom: color is very where! MAY First Saturday is Opening Boating Day- boat parade right after noon crew race. Summer planting of begonias in boxes and pots- bloom until November. JUNE Purple Rhodys bloom for Father’s Day under family room windows.

JULY Fireworks at Lake Union viewed from deck off bedroom. AUGUST Seafair and the Blue Angels Sunday: incredible boat parade south in the morning for races, return in afternoon after the final hydro race finishes. SEPTEMBER Lake turns quiet as school begins. OCTOBER Trees take on brilliant fall color. NOVEMBER Bufflehead ducks return for winter. Herons visit and fish in front of the family room. DECEMBER Eagle sightings near by. Christmas ships parade almost nightly, once or more in front of house.
