The Neighborhood Newport Shores is a unique community located along the southeast shores of Lake Washington in the city of Bellevue, Washington. It is a family-oriented neighborhood on approximately 172 acres with 343 homes, over 100 of them on lake or canal waterfront. The wide winding streets are great for biking, rollerblading and walking. Newport Shores sits alongside the Lake Washington bike trail for easy access to Newcastle Park, Mercer Slough Park, commuting by bike to downtown Bellevue or to Seattle by the I-90 bike lanes. Shopping is just minutes away in either Factoria or Downtown Bellevue. The Clubhouse offers a wide variety of activities and social events for members of all ages. The Yacht Club Facilities Newport Yacht Club, located within the Newport Shores neighborhood, includes a Clubhouse with kitchen, bathrooms/changing rooms, office, three tennis courts, seasonal heated swimming pool with lifeguards, sand volleyball court, children’s play area, basketball area and a marina with 119 boat slips. The Newport Yacht Club Marina Located at latitude 47.6 degrees North and longitude 122.2 degrees West, just south of the Interstate 90 East Channel Bridge on Lake Washington in Bellevue, Washington. The marina has 119 slips ranging in length from 26 to 60 feet. Docks include 15 / 30-amp power, water, gated access and easy access to a gasoline dock and repair facility at nearby Mercer Marine. The Newport Yacht Club leases out 49 of the marina’s slips on yearly contracts at a rate of $10.00 per foot of slip space per month, plus electricity charges. Moorage contracts begin on April 1 of each year. The remaining 80 slips are held under 75-year license agreements with the Club that began in 1978. Owners of slip licenses pay $1.85 per foot of slip space per month maintenance and capital improvement fees plus metered electricity charges. In addition, licensees must maintain Active membership in the Newport Yacht Club by paying a one-time $2,000 initiation fee and $50 per month dues, billed quarterly. As Active members of the Newport Yacht Club, licensees have full access to the facilities and activities of the Club. There is also annual resident dues of $200 billed in January. Newport Yacht Basin Located on the east side of Lake Washington in Bellevue, Washington. The marina is a condominium association, the first of its kind in the United States and was developed in 1975. There are a total of 416 slips, approximately half are covered. They run from 20’ to 47.5’. John C. Radovich Development Company (JCR) leases over 120 of the slips. The remaining slips belong to individual owners. Parking is provided, we issue parking passes and keys to enter the dock gates. Located on site is a full service parts and repair shop, boat sales office, gas pumps, restrooms, and a public launch. The marina is conveniently located off 405 just south of the I-90 bridge.
