Raising Up Jesus’ Mighty Men and Women

“These are the leaders of David’s mighty warriors. Together with all Israel, they decided to make David their king, just as the Lord had promised concerning Israel” (1 Chronicles 11:10).

God is going to accomplish a great work among the nations, and He is raising up ‘mighty men and women’ to do great exploits for Him. Just as David raised up leaders among his mighty warriors to serve God’s purpose in his generation, Global Disciples is committed to raise, equip, and commission leaders of leaders to fulfill the Great Commission.

One of Global Disciples’ core values is “Trusting Relationships.” David’s mighty men reflected this in their loyalty, courage, initiative, commitment, and diligence to the shared vision. David had proven himself and his calling to serve God’s agenda. His warriors followed him without question because they knew he loved and trusted them and would help them. They depended on the Lord’s unlimited power and strength to win their battles.

The ‘mighty’ man or woman knows that might and power comes from God and not their own experience, resources, or strength. The Church needs mighty men and women who walk in intimacy with Jesus and are committed to making Him known among the Nations.

For twenty-five years, Global Disciples has equipped men and women to be disciples of Jesus who make disciples and leaders who lead like Jesus in churches, business, and daily life.

While our staff team grew rapidly in recent years, we were relying on only a small team of trainers and specialists certified to lead our training events. This limited how quickly we could respond to requests from churches and new frontiers.

The travel limitations of 2020 gave us time and space to invest in virtual trainings to certify our local and regional staff to teach and equip directors in discipleship-mission, leadership, and small business development. Now at least 82 of our staff are certified to teach one or more training phases. It was a season to multiply these leaders for the harvest.

What a godly excitement as we see Jesus’ mighty men and women identified, equipped, and commissioned to go out to share passionately about Him! We are thankful for the people God has entrusted to Global Disciples for His glory and for the sake of over two billion people still waiting for the Good News of Jesus.
