We usually manage to stay in Danby, on the edge of the North York Moors, two or three times a year. In 2019 we visited in August with my brother, who works in the US, so he could see the heather. We were also there in April and November when we stayed in our usual cottage in Danby Dale.
The seascapes were taken on the coast between Marske and Redcar and the sand pattern on the beach at South Gare. In April, we stopped at Mount Grace Priory Priory on the way home, where I photographed the building and the iron patterns in the sandstone.
