Selected to participate in a competitive and immersive internship program. Assisted designers and architects with their projects, ranging in type, scale, and scope. Developed and documented material palettes, selected furnishing and fixture options, prepared presentation documents and schedules, constructed mock-ups for client meetings. Contributed to the reorganization and transition of the materials library during an office renovation and used creativity in the realization of special events for the office. Summer 2015-Fall 2016 Greig Rutherford Architect | Intern | Oxford, Ohio Assisted an architect with a range of assignments to finish a custom, nature-inspired residential project. Tasks primarily involved woodworking, however they varied daily and included masonry, fixture installation, and design discussions with the client and architect. Periodically managed a crew of students to assist with job site organization and clean-up. Summer 2014 AYI & Associates and +Olive | Summer Intern | Carmel, California Fast-paced internship that involved selecting, pricing, and ordering materials and furniture. Created furniture drawings and floor plans for clients, assisted on site visits and client meetings. Helped with the setup of +Olive, the owner’s new company and storefront that housed sustainable furniture designs.

Alpha Rho Chi (Architecture + Allied Arts Fraternity) 2013-16 Elected as Worthy Associate Architect to manage the committee chairs and act as the liaison between the executive board and committees. Served as Worthy Clerk, recorded meetings, wrote the agenda and kept member records. Served as Brotherhood Committee Chair, facilitated meetings and spearheaded event planning.

International Interior Design Association 2012-16 Co-president, organized and facilitated meetings and events, managed the executive board members, planned firm visit trips. Acted as fundraising chair, generated ideas, organized events.

Designed and arranged displays in the book department. Utilized computer programs to handle shipping, receiving, and inventory. Summer 2013 Wyoming Fine Arts Center | Summer Assistant | Wyoming, Ohio Researched and applied for grants which involved writing letters of inquiry. Provided before and after childcare and organized activities and equipment for the campers to create a fun and safe environment. Assisted the art director in preparation and teaching the art camps.

Painted sets for the Miami University Theater Department. Replicated designs on a large scale, mixing colors, creating textures and qualities through paint to recreate the designer’s vision.
