The target building for new rail station: the most accessible building in the least accessible LEP
This term project tries to address the potentials of high speed rail development in Manchester, UK. Four models are built to fulfil following sub-tasks. Potential sites for intensive rail line construction are searched by selection and intersection tools. Localities suitable for transit-tourism development are identified by OLS regression between road coverage and proximity to named places. The most promising railway station for redevelopment is found by overlaying IDW and density maps of property value and passenger volume.
