U MOJA The Center for Diversity & Social Justice Programs acknowledges and embraces the rich culture of graduating students of color while celebrating their achievements and contributions to the Wentworth community through the Umoja Cultural Graduation Ceremony. The ceremony was held virtually this year.
Why UMOJA? UMOJA is Swahili for unity. Swahili is a Bantu language and first language of the Swahili people from East Africa. Unity is both a principle and practice of togetherness in all things good and of mutual benefit. Through this ceremony, we want to show graduates the impact and strength that unity can bring before they begin the next stage of their lives. 1
WEN T WORTH EN G IN EER IN G H ONORS SOC IET Y The Wentworth Engineering Honors Society— created in Summer 2020—recognizes our outstanding students who demonstrate academic excellence and exemplary character. Only the top fifth of engineering seniors by GPA and the top eighth of engineering juniors by GPA are eligible to apply. These students are recognized within the list of summer graduates.
Please note that this program is for ceremonial purposes only. The registrar maintains the official list of all graduates. Due to press deadlines, changes and updates received after September 15, 2020 may not appear in this program.
