Mark Pilliod, Deschutes County's top civil lawyer and the target of District Attorney Patrick Flaherty's grand jury investigation, notifies the state he might sue over the incident. In the notice, Pilliod's attorney writes that Pilliod could file a lawsuit over the damage Flaherty did to Pilliod's reputation. Flaherty also used a grand jury in a way that deprived Pilliod of his right to due process, according to his attorney. July 14, 2011.
