From the excitement of stepping onto the red carpet at one of our performances housed within His Majesty’s Theatre, to singing in your classroom or a regional caravan park we have a variety of outreach programs and performances that offer a participatory or audience perspective inside and out the traditional theatre setting.
Our programs offer teachers and students an opportunity to enrich their learning experiences and offer curriculum links including but not limited to Responding, Making, Introduction of musical concepts, Historical context, Literacy, Creative and critical thinking, Intercultural understanding and Personal and social capabilities.
From beautiful voices to backstage secrets, we dare you to take part and experience the magic of opera and look forward to being part of your learning journey throughout 2016. Contact Terasa Letizia, Education Manager directly at education@waopera.asn.au or 0417 902 592 to find out more.

SMARTER THAN SMOKING
Two soprano’s and a baritone pit their wit and voices in a quiz show like no other! This onstage battle looks at the stereotypes associated with our artform and meets them head on. Featuring well known popular arias from composers Bizet, Delibes, Puccini and Offenbach we will have you screaming for more.
Your voice is your own mobile instrument so let’s have some fun and Sing out loud! Suitable for choirs and non-singers alike and direct links to the music curriculum together we will explore rhythm, tempo, pitch, dynamics and form before joining our artists in a final aria. Students will be physically engaged from start to finish.
The Challenge: Five days, five regional communities*. Will we visit yours? We are jumping into our van and driving to you! Book now to ensure your part in this operatic challenge. *Communities must be located within a 2.5 hour radius of Perth
