Preparing strong minds... WCS has a proven academic track record. Our accredited program prepares students for college and the work force. Close to 100 percent of our seniors attend a post-secondary school. Our graduates go on to universities like Baylor, Cornell, Harding, Rice, Texas A&M and the U.S. Air Force Academy. donors who do everything they can to help our students succeed. Excellent Vision WCS plans and maintains a rigorous curriculum. Ambitious students can take PreAP and AP classes in preparation for college. Younger students may participate in summer learning camps. From Pre-K through high school, WCS brings Jesus Christ into students’ lives. We believe that He should be a part of everything we do, whether it is an administrative meeting or a single period in history class.

Preparing Christian character... Westbury Christian School provides a unique environment for spiritually centered students and their families. Lower school students have daily chapel, and middle and upper school students attend chapel on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Chapel provides students with nourishment from teaching and worship. Students must pass Bible classes in order to graduate. All of our teachers are Christians (most are from a Church of Christ background) who provide positive examples for our students and help keep our moral standards high. We also take our students’ spiritual development beyond the classroom.
At WCS, we believe that you cannot be fully educated until you have been taught about Christ. Based on that belief, we daily integrate Christian values into every aspect of our ThreeDimensional Program - the academic program, spiritual life and student activities. We begin every morning with a devotional in the homeroom. On Wednesdays, our faculty and staff come together to pray. Our basketball teams have devotionals before every game, and at home games we invite the other team to join with us as we pray at center court. The students on our soccer teams do not just kneel when an opposing player is injured; they pray.
We are always looking for new ways to put Jesus rst in our school. Our Christian character engenders a loving and caring family environment within which students develop positive self-esteem and create lasting relationships with their peers. Whether it is through growing as a servant leader through band, Interact Club, drama, or athletics, our students have wonderful opportunities to develop into motivated, socially adept young men and women.

Preparing motivated leaders... Service WCS teaches its students to serve. All of our high school students must complete 10 hours of community service per semester in order to graduate. Our campus community service organization, Interact Club (sponsored by Rotary), provides students with many opportunities to serve. We also organize a
variety of community service events through which students can learn to serve others. Athletics Athletics at WCS are a cut above. Many of our student athletes have received sports scholarships to colleges and universities across the country, and some have even gone on to play professional sports. But your son or daughter does not need to have the ambition to play a sport in college or professionally to be a part of one of our teams. Our coaches are always looking for hardworking young men and women to play for them.
And More! Students with a air for performance can get involved in our marching band, our vocal ensemble and our drama program. The WCS chapter of the National Honor Society has been helping students mature academically for a number of years. The society’s members also develop as servants and leaders as they tutor students at WCS and Elrod Elementary. Through the Student Activities program, our students become productive members of society.

History: Westbury Chris an School was formally chartered in February of 1975 with visionary support from the Westbury Church of Christ. Academics: WCS is a K3-12 school with a college-preparatory curriculum aligned with state curriculum requirements and objec ves. High school students can choose from a dozen Advanced Placement courses, which enable them to receive college credits while in high school. Accredita on: In 2006, Westbury Chris an School successfully completed a ve-year selfstudy that validated its con nuing accredita on by the Southern Associa on of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the Na onal Chris an Schools Associa on (NCSA). WCS credits are accepted at any accredited educa onal ins tu on in the United States. Faculty & Students: With almost 50 degreed and cer ed faculty, WCS boasts an average student/teacher ra o of 11:1. Computers: For computer-related courses, students can u lize the Mac lab, one of two PC labs, or a lower school computer lab where students in kindergarten through 6th grade learn basic computer skills.
