A stove left unattended is suspected as being the cause of a fire in West Carleton Friday that killed two dogs. Ottawa Fire Services report a mobile home and vehicle were fully ablaze when firefighters arrived at 125 Harold Valley Dr. about 4 p.m. The home is in a trailer park off Grainger Park Road between Dwyer Hill Road and Highway 417. Ottawa Fire Services public information officer Marc Messier reports crews concentrated initially on protecting neighbouring homes and propane tanks that were at risk. The home, vehicle and shed were destroyed and a shed of a neighbouring home melted from the extreme heat, but the neighbouring home was saved. See ‘FIREFIGHERS’ Page 2
