The men’s group held a Valentine Chili dinner fundraiser that resulted in $1,014 for the food access centre. The food access centre has packed hampers for more than

along with the ministerial association of many church communities developed a more permanent arrangement with an accessible food program. The program was and is run completely by volunteers. The food bank was housed initially in 1995 at St. James Anglican Church Parish Hall. “This organization eventually became a registered charity with a board of directors. Then, the Township, under the direction of Mayer Dwight Eastman, was able to provide some start-up funding and the West Carleton Emergency Food Aid moved to the basement of the Memorial Hall in Carp,” Allan said.
