The Carp Farmers’ Market officially took over Herbfest
at the event’s final day of being held at the Herb Garden on July 26. Herb Garden owners George and Gerry Bedard
signed over Herbfest to market organizers during the 20th annual festival. “Gerry approached us sometime last year in regards
to having the Herbfest live on,” said Ennio Marcantonio, market manager. “We decided it would be a shame to see it dwindle. The Carp Farmers’

The inaugural West Carleton Dragon Boat races drew a crowd to the Constance Bay Beach on Sunday, July 26, and the hope is it becomes an annual event. The Legion 616 team took first place in the B Division finals – and won a prize package from Turtle Island Brewery Co. – beating secondplace finisher Heather’s Team and Rural Root Theatre Company, which placed third.
