Q: Is it true that Bella Hadid has quit modeling? Is she still recovering from Lyme disease?

A: When Bella Hadid first appeared on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alongside her mother, Yolanda, and sister, Gigi, she was riding horses, not modeling. She didn’t seem interested in following her mother’s footsteps on the runway, but within a few short years, she and her sister were considered modern-day supermodels and fodder for the tabloids.

The girl who loved horses is reemerging now. Hadid has taken a break from modeling and calls Fort Worth, Texas, her new home. She’s been dating cowboy and horse trainer Adan Banuelos since the two were seen together last October, and he’s gotten her back into riding. Hadid placed third in a riding competition back in January, according to a post on his Instagram page.

This past August, Hadid opened up about her health struggles on an Instagram post and shared that she was “finally healthy” after getting diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2012. ***

Q: Is it true that Tracy Morgan is returning to “Saturday Night Live” as part of the cast again?

A: Tracy Morgan spent seven years as a cast member on “Saturday Night Live,” but he has no plans to return in that capacity. He has returned to host twice so far and will no doubt host again someday.

Morgan starred in his self-titled sitcom “The Tracy Morgan Show,” but it was canceled after one season. He made a much bigger splash playing a hilarious parody of

himself in the Tina Fey sitcom “30 Rock.” He later went on to star in another successful series “The Last O.G.” for four seasons.

You’ll likely see him hosting “SNL” to promote his new sitcom “Crutch” when it begins airing on Paramount+. “Crutch” is a spin-off of the hit CBS sitcom “The Neighborhood.” Morgan has guest-starred on that show before and played Calvin’s (Cedric the Entertainer) wealthy brother, Curtis, but he’ll be playing a completely different character on “Crutch.”

According to the official logline, Crutch is Cedric’s cousin, “a Harlem widower whose empty nest plans are put on hold after his millennial son and free-spirited daughter move back home.” Production on “Crutch” will begin later this year with an official premiere date to be announced.

Q: Whatever happened to the show “Deadliest Catch?” I know that a couple of people who were originally on it have passed away. Is it ever coming back? -- T.A.

A: “Deadliest Catch,” a documentary-reality show about the perilous world of crabbing on the high seas, premiered in 2005 on the Discovery Channel. Tragedy has struck the show numerous times in the form of natural causes, overdoses, and accidents involving the ships and their equipment. Despite all the hardship and heartbreak, the show is going on its 20th season this summer. According to Entertainment Weekly, fanfavorite captains Sig Hansen, Keith Colburn and Wild Bill Wichrowski are all returning and will be competing in a derby-style race to reach

LOCO MOCO

Yield: 4 servings

Total Time: 35 minutes

What You’ll Need:

1 pound ground beef, at least 15 to 20% fat

1 medium Maui or sweet onion, peeled (1/4 of the onion chopped; 3/4 sliced)

2 garlic cloves, peeled and finely grated

3 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce, divided

1 teaspoon kosher salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil

8 ounces cremini mushrooms, cleaned and sliced (optional)

2 cups beef broth

2 teaspoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons cornstarch

4 cups cooked white rice

4 eggs, fried, sunny side up or over easy Green onions, sliced, for garnish

Here’s How: Let’s start with the onion. Be sure you chop a quarter of the onion and slice the rest.

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, garlic, 1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce, kosher salt and pepper. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

Shape this into 4 (1/2 inch) patties. Pop those on a plate and stick them in the fridge.

Meanwhile, in a large skillet over medium heat, warm 1 tablespoon of oil. Once it’s hot, add the sliced onion and begin sauteing. You want the onion to be translucent. Stir them occasionally and saute for about 5 minutes. Now, reduce the heat to low and continue to saute the onion as it gets soft and begins to caramelize, about 7 more minutes. Remove the onions to a bowl and keep warm. Next, retrieve the patties and add another tablespoon of oil to the pan. Bump the heat back up to medium. Once it’s hot, carefully add the patties to the pan and cook them until browned, around 4 minutes per side. Transfer the patties to a platter and keep warm.

Add the remaining 1/2 tablespoon oil to the pan and saute the mushrooms for about 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Get your second skillet warming to begin frying the eggs. You’ll have to do two things at once. If you are also walking and chewing gum, I suggest you stop immediately and focus.

Now, everybody in the pool! Return the onions to the pan along with the beef broth, soy sauce and the remaining 1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat to medium-low.

In a small bowl, whisk the cornstarch with 1 tablespoon cold water until smooth to make a slurry. Add the slurry to the skillet and whisk until it thickens, about 5 minutes.

You should be cooking over-easy or sunny-sideup eggs by now. Place the patties into the skillet to get all cozy and warmed back up.

To serve: On each plate place 1 cup cooked rice with one patty, a fried egg, then the gravy, topped with green onion. “E ‘ai kakou!” (Let’s eat!)

Preheat a gas grill for high heat, or arrange charcoal briquettes on one side of the barbeque. Lightly oil the grate. Combine cumin, chili powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a small jar; close the lid and shake to mix.

STRAWBERRY PIE

Trim the membrane sheath from the back of each rack. Run a small, sharp knife between the membrane and each rib, and snip off the membrane as much as possible. Sprinkle as much of the rub onto both sides of ribs as desired. To prevent ribs from becoming too dark and spicy, do not thoroughly rub spices into ribs. Store any unused spice mix in a jar for future use. Place aluminum foil on the lower rack to capture drippings and prevent flare-ups. Lay ribs on the top rack of the grill (away from the coals, if you’re using briquettes). Reduce gas heat to low and close the lid; cook ribs, undisturbed as possible, until meat pulls away easily from the bone, about 1 hour. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read 145 degrees F. Brush ribs with barbecue sauce, and grill for an additional 5 minutes. Serve ribs as a whole rack, or cut between each rib bone and pile individually on a platter.

American Symbols Memorial Day is a time to both honor individual memories and reflect on American history. Designers have drawn inspiration from American history for over a hundred years. Copies of styles from the early years of the American Republic, or the Federal period, have been popular since the 1870s. This is when the Colonial Revival period began, celebrating the Centennial of the United States.

Designers also celebrate American history by incorporating American symbols into their work. Stars and stripes, Uncle Sam, Lady Liberty and, of course, eagles often appear in furniture and decorative arts. Eagles are often seen as finials or crests on furniture like Federal mirrors. Sometimes they make up a larger part of a design, like this table with a pedestal base carved into the form of an eagle with outstretched wings. With a faux marble top and no identifying marks, it sold for $163 at a Conestoga auction.

* * * Q: I have a collection of cards I collected as a boy during World War II. They have pictures of WWII fighter planes and bombers. The reverse has two circles with insignia or emblems.

HOLLYWOOD -- Shocking news! Martin Scorsese’s planning a biopic of Frank Sinatra ... with blue-eyed Leonardo DiCaprio as “Old Blue Eyes!” Even more startling is that he wants Jennifer Lawrence to play the screen goddess Ava Gardner. It’ll take a lot more than makeup and intense acting to transform both of them into two Hollywood legends we all remember only too well!

The times that I encountered and photographed Sinatra, he wrote the script for everything happening around him. The night I spent with Gardner on the set of “Earthquake” in 1974, she was every inch an iconic movie star because she truly believed it until the day she died. Her awestriking presence made you believe it, too. In 2004, DiCaprio played Howard Hughes in “The Aviator,” but Hughes’ fame was a whole different ball game than playing Frank Sinatra with all of his complex facets. ***

If you’ve seen a trailer online showing Henry Cavill as James Bond (with an American accent, no less), you’re looking at a fake AI video. Cavill had no knowledge or input in the video, but his people believe that his overzealous fans, who’ve been campaigning on his behalf to be cast as 007, took matters into their own capable hands. Frankly, Cavill, at 41, is already too old. James Bond is supposed to be 37 years old, and the next film won’t be out for at least two years. After the dismal box-office takes of “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” (2015) and “Argylle” (2024), the former Superman is an unlikely choice. Still, the “fake” video pulled in 2.3 million viewers.

A: If the pictures are just photographs, they are probably trading cards. If they have silhouettes of the shape of

the planes, they might be spotter cards, aircraft recognition cards used to identify planes during WWII. The cards had silhouettes of the types of planes used by the United States, Great Britain, Germany and Japan, as seen from the ground. They were one of the aids used by civilian observers, part of the Army Air Forces Ground Observer Corps, who manned observation posts along the East Coast, inland to the Appalachian Mountains,
