Our youth are surrounded by a culture that has increasingly piled on pressure to conform to the “normal” that everyone is expected to encounter. Yet, as Christians we are reminded by Paul’s words in Romans 12:2 that conforming to this world is not a path we were meant to follow. This year we have encouraged and challenged students to not only identify the temptation to conform, but to embrace a transformed life that makes an eternal impact not only in our own lives, but in the lives that we touch by living out God’s call to love, forgive, and proclaim the truth of His gospel! Robby Gilliam | Campus Pastor

The Western Mennonite School auction is always one of the greatest highlights of my year. Not only is this a significant day for meeting the financial needs of Western, it is a day of fellowship as faithful alumni, parents, grandparents, families, and friends come together to celebrate our school and the many lives that have been impacted. As I observe all those that come year after year and give so faithfully, I am reminded that Western truly is a special place in the hearts of so many people! Paul Schultz | School Administrator
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is, His good, pleasing and perfect will. ROMANS 12:2

Student Grants
Special Projects
As Western’s largest fundraiser, the auction plays a key role in making it possible for the school to come alongside families in need. Over 40% of the student body receives some level of financial assistance. Every gift designated to student grants changes lives one student at a time.
Cafeteria Upgrades While there have been significant improvements to the cafeteria over the years, there are several needs that are long overdue. The carpeted stairs leading down to the cafeteria have become a safety concern, there is need for new chairs, and a fresh layer of paint would improve the look and feel of the cafeteria greatly. This project needs $7,000 to be fully funded.

What’s Next @ WMS? Under direction from the WMS School Board, a Strategic Planning Committee has been hard at work since December 2013 to establish a road map that will guide Western through the next five years. The committee took into consideration feedback from current faculty/staff, the values that Western was built upon, and lessons that have been gleaned over the years. The committee is planning to reveal what they have been working on at the Auction! Don’t miss this opportunity to see the vision and discover how you can play a role in the future of WMS!
