Background A strategic plan for the next 5 years, developed by the WMS board of directors and administrative team. This plan grew out of a process that included feedback from surveys and a board/administrative retreat in January 2014. This plan is rooted in Western’s mission to equip students for lives of faith and learning.
Christ-centered Strengthen the integration of Christian faith and learning Coordinate spiritual life activities (chapel, Bible classes, etc) to nurture students in all stages of their faith journey Ensure that all aspects of WMS’s program (academics, extra-curriculars, dorm life, etc) continues to reflect the attitudes and character of Jesus Christ

Restructure current administrative roles to address needs for: Improved budgeting, reporting, and forecasting Improved advancement, marketing, and communications efforts A solid financial department to support a campaign to complete the new science wing
Facilities Commission WMS Foundation Board to focus on key upgrades including: Completing the new main entrance Making energy-efficient upgrades to current buildings Exploring a possible spectator-seating expansion in the current gym Complete Phase II of the academic center – a new science wing.
