Dry Creek Meadows, located in the heart of the valley is situated nearby the charming communities of Driggs and Victor, Idaho which offer a full suite of retail, service and tourist amenities. Driggs has received national attention as one of the top small towns in America and serves as the gateway to Grand Targhee Resort which draws skiers from all over the country and is home to its annual summer Bluegrass Music Festival. The Teton River is the lifeblood of the valley. Rising high in the Snake River Mountains to the south and gaining size from numerous springs and feeder streams, the Teton River meanders north through the valley’s broad bottomlands before slipping away into the rugged Teton Canyon 20 miles north. A critical component of the Teton River system is its vast wetland network of nearly 30,000 acres, which supports a rich diversity of plants and wildlife in addition to providing important summer livestock pasture for local ranchers. In cooperation with landowners and residents, organizations such as the Teton Regional Land Trust, Friends of the Teton River and Idaho Foundation for Parks and Land have taken steps to enhance the river and its wetlands by protecting over 36,000 acres of private land in the immediate area and almost 11,000 acres in the Teton Basin through permanent conservation easements. Such steps are representative of the strong commitment that local residents have toward preserving their valley’s heritage and natural resource.

The Teton basin is also rich with upland birds and waterfowl. Ruffed Grouse are plentiful on the slopes and hillsides surrounding the valley and access to the prime areas is readily available via numerous Forest Service roads. With extensive open water in the valley bottom the Teton Valley is a haven for migrating and wintering ducks and geese. Tax Benefits of Ownership in Wyoming _____________________ There are numerous reasons why those who live in Jackson Hole have chosen to have their primary residences here. Some of those reasons are emotional, such as the sheer beauty of the natural surroundings and the overall quality of life. Other reasons are more practical in scope and include Wyoming’s overall tax-climate benefits. For years, Bloomberg has rated Wyoming as the most tax-friendly state in the U.S.

Here’s Why…  No personal or corporate state income tax.  Shield your real estate from federal estate taxes for up to 1,000 years through a dynasty trust. A key point to remember is that the trust must be administered in Wyoming.  No inheritance tax or estate tax. Wyoming repealed its estate tax as of Jan 1, 2005.  No state gift tax. You can ‘gift’ your real estate to your heirs without paying a tax.  No tax on out-of-state retirement income.  Low property taxes compared to other states.  No excise taxes. When you fill up your car’s gas tank or buy a bag of groceries in Wyoming, you won’t pay any state tax on your gas or food.  No intangible taxes on financial assets like stocks and bonds.  No tax on the sale of real estate.  No tax on mineral ownership.
