Allie decided to attend Western after visiting for a campus tour. “I remember thinking, this is it! This is where I’m going to school.” It provides a fresh start in a smaller school that isn’t too overwhelming. Western students are really special kinds of people. I haven’t met anyone I don’t like.” Western students are involved in the campus community. Allie works for the School of Business as a work study student, participates in the honors program, and is an ambassador for admissions. The School of Business builds relationships with employers. Allie had a very successful summer internship at SM Energy and was invited back for a second summer. There are amazing outdoor opportunities in Gunnison. Allie has taken up fly fishing, and often spends her free time hiking, biking around town, and enjoying campus events like pool parties. Western will help you grow. Allie is now convinced,
“Your future is determined by how much effort you put in. Because I’ve put in so much effort, I’ve had great results.”
