Curious About Credit Transfer?

Transfer students with fewer than 24 college credits will be considered first-year students for scholarship purposes and will be awarded based off the eligibility requirements for either a first-year students from Colorado or for a non-resident first-year student. Additionally, they must have a minimum 2.5 college GPA.

The Office of Career Services supports all Western students in the pursuit of meaningful careers and lives through individual and group advising, campus programming, and engagement with students, employers and alumni.

Gain a global perspective, experience new cultures and travel the world! Named a LendEDU Top 50 College for Study Abroad Programs, Western will ensure you have the tools you need to succeed while studying away, and help you navigate eligibility, credit transfer, financial aid and more.

*Reflects that the College Opportunity Fund (COF) stipend has been applied. Colorado residents can register for the COF at cof.college-assist.org. Total in-state tuition without COF is $10,056.

Western is part of the Colorado GT Pathways program and accepts most course transfers where a C- or better was earned. Check out our Transfer Course Lookup tool or request an unofficial transfer evaluation at western.edu/transfer-evaluation. This page houses other resources for you as well.

Meet Steve Otero As an Air Force veteran looking to further his education after serving 12 years, including combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, Steve Otero wasn’t sure a traditional university was right for him. “I was admittedly afraid of going to a [campus-based] university. However, after speaking with a number of professors on campus, I decided to take the leap and go to school in person rather than online,” Steve said.

STEM AT WESTERN western.edu/stem

Though Western’s academic roots are in the arts and humanities, we bring the same curiosity and problem-solving orientation to our technical fields as well. Employers tell us they’re looking for engineers, biologists and technology professionals who can do more than execute and program; they’re looking for thinkers and leaders who analyze critically, write well, and have both the hard and soft skills needed to succeed in fast-changing industries.
