The CommandCenter puts you in charge

You and your operators spend too much time in the driver’s seat to be burdened with inconvenient controls, inaccurate adjustments, and uncomfortable operation. The versatile CommandCenter armrest display in the 70 Series cabs puts vital machine and crop information within easy reach, making it simple to make quick adjustments to critical controls. The handy cornerpost monitors show you everything you need to know about your combine’s performance in one glance. They’re located in your line of sight so you won’t need to turn your head from your work.

The CommandCenter puts control at your fi ngertips. From one panel, you get quick access to:

– Combine setup – Remote shoe adjust and automatic combine adjust – Harvest Monitor – Harvest Smart automatic feedrate control – Warning alarms – Calibration “wizards” – On-board diagnostics – Set-point adjust

In addition to the CommandCenter display, we’ve also located controls for lights, wipers, radio, cab climate, and mirrors on the overhead console…out of the way, but always within reach.

Ever had to watch the rows in front of you and a grain cart beside you, all while trying to make adjustments to critical settings like fan speed, threshing speed, or chaffer opening? Then you’ll appreciate the value of having set point adjustment, standard on every 70 Series STS Combine. The idea is simple. Instead of holding down a button or turning a knob until your desired setting is reached, you simply use the selector wheel to dial in the proper setting on the CommandCenter display. That’s all. The machine then makes the adjustment, and lets you know when the desired set point is reached. Set point adjustable variables include: deck plate spacing, header height control sensitivity, header raise and lower rate, HydraFlex pressure, draper belt speed, feederhouse backshaft speed, threshing speed and clearance, sieve opening, chaffer opening, fan speed, spreader speed (including PowerCast), and CommandTouch feederhouse speed.

Fine-tune your combine with comfort and ease:

Ergonomic shape with adjustable 3-position hand rest Hydrostatic ground speed and direction Quick-stop button allows disengaging header and unloading auger drive/swing in one convenient motion Reel height (feederhouse speed) with fore/aft remote reel control switch Two-speed header raise/lower with optional Contour-Master™ control switch Three-position header height resume, reel resume, and Corn Head Deck Plate resume system activation switches Five-position unloading auger swing and unloading auger engage controls

Total harvest control has never been more comfortable

Long days in the cab are easier when you’re surrounded by quiet comfort. The cab of the 70 Series Combines is exactly what you need in a harvest command center. First, the air-suspended seat saves your spine from bumps and ruts. The 14-inch tilting steering wheel lets you get just the right adjustment for long days in the fi eld or backing into the shed. Over 50 square feet of window area provides an unobstructed view.

Turn the cab into a mobile headquarters with the optional Field Offi ce ™ . Built into the training seat, Field Offi ce gives you space for CDs, PCM cards, cell phones and chargers, even a laptop computer. And of course, cab climate can be adjusted precisely to your comfort, while the highquality sound system puts out all your favorite tunes.

Visibility is an advantage that’s easy to see in the 70 Series cab. Over 50 square feet of window area give you wide, unobstructed views to the front of the feederhouse, the full width of the header, the stubble height, and the sides of the combine. Only an open-station combine could give you better visibility!

The easy-to-reach overhead

control console puts the lights, temperature control, radio, and warning lights out of the way, yet still easily within reach. Rocker switches give you simple fi nger-touch control of transport and fi eld lights.

TouchSet™ Automatic Combine Adjust is standard equipment on all

70 Series Combines. TouchSet allows the operator to select one of 25 factory preset crops; the system then automatically adjusts threshing rotor rpm, cleaning fan rpm, concave clearance, main chaffer opening, and sieve opening.

In addition to the 25 standard factory presets, operators can store one set of customized settings for each of the presets, plus up to nine personal crop settings. Any of the settings can be manually fi ne-tuned and adjusted through the CommandCenter display; the current setting and the set point will be displayed until the desired setting is reached.

As an added convenience, external ground-level switches allow for easy adjustment of the shoe area if you’re checking losses. The same adjustments can be made in-cab while on the go.

Vital machine information at your fi ngertips

A stacked-bar readout on the Active Header-Height Control

gives you a visual representation of relative header height. Select the feature or features you want active: header resume, height sensing, and reel resume. Reel resume lets you control reel height and fore-aft position. The bottom right corner displays the header position when equipped with optional Contour-Master lateraltilt system. VisionTrak™ monitor gives you a clear picture of combine performance. This display lets you view performance of the cleaning shoe and separator independently, as well as combined. For instance, you can monitor shoe and separator performance to maximize grain savings. The top bar shows tailings volume. Triple-display tachometer lets you stay on top of your harvest and optimize combine performance. In addition to ground speed (always on the top line), you can select engine rpm, cylinder rpm, concave clearance, cleaning fan speed, or feederhouse backshaft speed – it’s your choice. Just touch or adjust any monitored function and it is displayed automatically on the bottom line of the tachometer.
