RECREATIONAL GYMNASTICS AND LEARN TO SWIM ABSENTEE/MAKE-UP POLICY
1. Each student is eligible to 8 Make-up class credits per 12 months which is only available whilst the student is enrolled in a program at SGAC.
2. To be eligible for Make-up class credit, notification of absence must be advised on your Member Portal before the scheduled class commences.
3. Make-up classes can only be booked a maximum of seven (7) days in advance. This MUST be completed online through your member portal.
4. Make-up lessons are NOT GUARANTEED and are subject to availability which may be restricted during busy periods.
5. Make-up lessons must be taken at the individual’s registered level.
6. Make-up lessons cannot be transferred to another person/booking.
7. Make-up class credits do not reduce your next direct debit fee.
8. Make-up lessons that are unattended will be forfeited and cannot be credited to your account.
9. Make-up class credits are available for a period of 3 months after the date of the missed class at which time it will be forfeited if it has not been used.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
• Can I notify my absence via phone?
No. All absences must be notified through your member portal.
• I have notified my absence on the member portal; can I change it?
No Once you withdraw from a class, you cannot change it online. If circumstances change, you will need to contact Customer Service to enquire if there is still availability for the class.
• Am I able to book a make-up now for next month?
Make-up classes can only be booked 7 days in advance.
• Why do I need to give prior notice?
The notice period supports the availability and booking of make-up classes each week and so that SGAC can, if necessary, adjust its workforce or resources.
• Can I mark absent on a booking made with a Make-up Class credit?
Yes, however this will then use an additional make-up class credit
• How do I mark my absence and book a makeup through my member portal?

• When does my ‘12 month’ eligibility period commence?
The 12-month eligibility is a rolling 365-day period
• What happens if I cannot see a Make-up Class on my account?
You may not have used your makeup class credit within the 3-month expiry. However, if you have any questions, please email Customer Service at customerservice@sgac.com.au and we can look into this for you.
• How do I know if a make-up lesson has been confirmed?
You will be able to see this in your Member Portal in your Calendar Schedule. If you need assistance with booking your make-up lesson, please call Customer Service and we can walk you through this process.
