Parma Greece UCC celebrates 189 years of faith and service
GUCC is honoring this occasion by offering several opportunities to celebrate. Anyone who has ever been a member of the church, served on a board, sang in the choir, gotten married there, had children baptized or attended Sunday School there, or enjoyed their chicken barbeques or potluck suppers is part of the church’s rich history. All are welcome to join in a week of joy and remembrance at these celebration events: •August 20 – Outdoor service in the gazebo and Memory Garden at 9 a.m., followed by resentation by parma/Hilton Historian David Crumb at 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall: “The Last Country Church, Gathering Stones” (in person and online) •August 24 and 25 – The Labyrinth returns, a walking meditation available from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall
•August 27 – Anniversary Sunday, a special worship service at 9 a.m. followed by the annual church picnic/breakfast buffet.
