Thinking back (as good as I can in my condition) it has been about a year since you last heard from me when my scribe did some thinking for me and put it into words. There wasn’t much, if anything, happening but the weather, until a few weeks ago. At that time some people showed up over at the southwest corner of the property I exist on and put in some wooden stakes with little red ribbons on them. I didn’t think they were Easter decorations and soon found out they were marking a place where some construction activity was about to occur. Several days later men and earth moving equipment showed up. Talk about “playing in the mud” they sure were doing that but I don’t think it was as much fun as when they were kids. I couldn’t help but notice that one piece of equipment suddenly looked much shorter than it did earlier.

Well, that was because it had sunk about three feet into the muddy earth. It had to be extricated by another big machine. Seeing this activity, I’ve heard that some of you might have been concerned that it would soon affect me. What is occurring is another phase of the project that involves the building of more residential units in that corner of the property. So - no need to worry right now. I will just keep watching the activity and see what develops. We continue to have more and stronger winds than I can remember from my long time in this location. Most recently, in fact on the day this picture was taken, we were in the midst of yet another high wind warning. Obviously, I’ve survived another year and hopefully will join with you in experiencing the wonders of another spring and summer on this temporary residence we call Earth.

Deadline: Tuesday, May 1st

That’s me way out there in the field framed by the largest piece of equipment that was on site to help in completing the necessary preparation for the new buildings.
