Avery Maynard of Brockport was awarded a $9,080 “All-American Scholarship” to attend Alfred State. Maynard is slated to graduate in 2017 from Brockport High School and intends to enroll in the undeclared major program. The “All-American Scholarship” (free board {14-meal}) is awarded to students who possess an 89 or better cumulative high school average through their junior year and who have achieved at least a 1220 combined reading/writing and math new SAT (1150 combined critical reading and math old SAT) or a composite ACT score of 24. Recipients must maintain a required GPA to continue to receive free board in subsequent semesters. Alessandra Lof of Rochester graduated with a degree in physician assistant studies from James Madison University. Jacob Moore of Brockport has been named to the dean’s list at the University of New Hampshire for earning Highest Honors for the fall 2016 semester. Moore is majoring in Marine, Estuarine and Fresh Water Bio. Students named to the dean’s list at the University of New Hampshire are students who have earned recognition through their superior scholastic performance during a semester enrolled in a full-time course load (12 or more graded credits). Highest honors are awarded to students who earn a semester GPA of 3.85 or better. Michael Zyla, of Rochester, has been named to the dean’s list at Western New England University for the fall semester of 2016. Zyla is working toward a degree in Biomedical Engineering. Students are named to the dean’s list for achieving a semester GPA of 3.30 or higher.

Michaela Kenward of Byron, has been named to the dean’s list for the 2016 fall semester at the University of New England. Dean’s list students have attained a GPA of 3.3 or better at the end of the semester. The following local students have been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2016 semester at Baldwin Wallace University. Students who receive at least a 3.6 GPA for seven or more graded hours in a single semester are named to the dean’s list. •Nadine Foley of Spencerport, a graduate of Brockport High School majoring in music composition. •Alyssa Smith of Hilton, a graduate of Hilton Central High School majoring in French and history. The following area students were named to the Becker College dean’s list for the fall 2016 semester. The dean’s list recognizes all full-time students (24 or more credit hours earned for the academic year; 12 minimum each semester - September through May) whose term GPA is 3.50 or higher with no grade below a B- and no incomplete (I) or withdrawal/failing (WF) grades. •Brandon Morgan of Rochester, who is pursing a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration •Corey Sherman of Hilton, who is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Sabrina DeBellis, daughter of Denise and David DeBellis of Spencerport, achieved dean’s list with a GPA of 3.403.69 for the fall semester of 2016 at SUNY Brockport. Sabrina is a 2013 graduate of Spencerport High School and was accepted into Greece Central Schools partnership.

Daemen College announced the following students achieved dean’s list status at Daemen College for the fall 2016 semester. •Stevie Mullen of Spencerport •Aaron Cole of Spencerport. The State University of New York at Geneseo has announced its president’s list for the fall semester 2016. To be on the list, a student must have achieved an A in all coursework while taking at least 12 credit hours. The following area students are on the president’s list from this area: •Brittany Abraham from Spencerport, •Luke Bamburoski from Spencerport, •Natalie LaCourt from Spencerport, •Eva Campanis from Rochester. Local area Ithaca College students were honored with the Peggy R. Williams Award for Academic and Community Leadership, an award recognizing students who excel academically, perform service to the college community and nation, and represent an exemplary level of accomplishment. •Hannah Wheater of Hilton received the award. •Emily O’Brien of Spencerport received the award. Kent State University recognizes local students who have been named to the dean’s list for fall 2016. Undergraduate students who obtain a 3.40 GPA or higher while maintaining 12 or more credit hours during the spring qualify to receive this honor. •Alexis Connolly of Spencerport •Myles Forsett of Rochester •Nicole Sheehan of Brockport.

Joshua Truong of Rochester, a sophomore studying accounting within the College of Business Administration, was named to the fall 2016 president’s list at Kent State University. To qualify for this honor, undergraduate students must obtain a 4.0 GPA while maintaining 15 or more credit hours in a semester or session. Meredith Allen of Hilton has been placed on the president’s list for the fall 2016 semester at the State University of New York College at Cortland. To be eligible for the president’s list, a student must be full-time and have earned at least an Ain all courses. Meredith is majoring in biology and is a graduate of Hilton High School. Luke Hollenbeck, son of Kevin and Chris Hollenbeck of Churchville, achieved dean’s list with honors with a GPA of 3.70 to 3.99 for the fall semester of 2016 at SUNY Brockport. Luke is a 2015 graduate of Byron-Bergen Central High School. Elizabeth Hoertz, granddaughter of Glenn and Alice Hoertz of Brockport, achieved dean’s list with honors with a GPA of 3.70 to 3.99 for the fall semester of 2016 at SUNY Brockport. Elizabeth is a 2013 graduate of York Central School. Corey Craig, son of Donna and Doug Craig of Churchville, has achieved dean’s list with a GPA of 3.40-3.69 for the fall semester of 2016 at SUNY Brockport. Corey is an intern with the Rochester Red Wings, an assistant coach for ChurchvilleChili Varsity baseball and works at ANG Markets in Churchville.
