newsmakers Michael A. Palluconi of Spencerport has been awarded a St. Lawrence University Fellowship for a summer 2018 research project. Palluconi is a member of the Class of 2020 and is majoring in biology. Palluconi attended Spencerport High School. Palluconi received the Daniel F. ‘65 and Ann H. Sullivan Endowment for Student/ Faculty Research and will be mentored by Alexander Schreiber to conduct research titled “Testosterone and the Race Against Altitude.” Kathryn Pukos of Churchville is a member of the Nazareth College 2018 Class of Pi Gamma Mu, an International Social Science Honor Society. Emily Raduns, the daughter of Gary and Cheryl Raduns of North Chili, and a social work major and honors program student, received her bachelor of social work degree and special recognition during Olivet Nazarene University’s Commencement on May 5. She is the recipient of the Maggie Sloan Crawford Honors Award as the outstanding female graduate in the Class of 2018. Raduns completed her required social work field placement at World Relief, working with refugees in the intensive case management program.
