Although the day may come where the whole world will get to hear Brianna’s voice, Colleen emphasizes on the fact that her daughter comes from a simple family carrying a beautiful message, and that’s it. “We appreciate it for what it’s worth. We appreciate everything - we appreciate every breath.” Brianna’s plans for the future involve producing more music and appearing for additional performances as they come along. Her next project will involve working with Elvio Fernandez from the band Daughtry to help write and produce her next EP. Brianna will also continue to work with her vocal coach as well as Johnny Cummings to take on even more endeavors. On December 19 Brianna will appear for her fourth consecutive performance at the annual CF Ball to raise money for Rochester patients in the name of Jenna Simmonetti. The Collichios encourage the public to attend this event in gratitude for all that the “Just Breathe” Foundation has provided for their family as well as the local CF community as a whole. All throughout Brianna’s journey, she has made it a priority to live a normal lifestyle as best as she can. Her other hobbies include playing basketball, hiking, swimming, and spending time with her family and friends. Brianna clarified how she doesn’t want to be identified as the little girl with CF that can sing, but rather as a girl who can sing, but also happens to have CF. To sum it up, Brianna’s identity is herself - not her disease. No matter where life takes her, Brianna promises to stay true to herself and the Lord and live life to the very fullest. Even through our many tears, we could see your undeniable, heartwarming love, in all that you did for us. There is no way to put into words how much it meant. May God bless you, from the bottom of our hearts.

Grandpa Sam’s Italian Restaurant, located in the Village of Spencerport, 138 South Union Street, held a ribbon cutting and grandre-opening celebration on Friday, October 9. Pictured are owners Anthony and Alba Alonci; NYS Assemblyman Peter Lawrence; owners Vince and Rose Alonci; NYS Senator Joe Robach; Spencerport Chamber of Commerce President Jill Cordts and Ogden Town Supervisor Gay Lenhard. Spencerport Mayor Gary Penders was also present.

At a special ceremony prior to Hilton High School’s homecoming football game, County Legislator Dick Yolevich announced October 9 as Yianni Diakomihalis Day in Monroe County. Joined on the field by members of the Hilton Central School District and Mayor Joseph Lee, Yianni received a signed proclamation from Legislator Yolevich and County Executive Maggie Brooks for his incredible accomplishments in wrestling at this summer’s United World Wrestling Cadet World Championships. The huge homecoming crowd gave Yianni a standing ovation as the proclamation was read during the ceremony. Yianni made his community and country proud when he defeated Jintaro Motoyama of Japan 6-3 to win a gold medal for Team USA. The future is certainly bright for Yianni and the community wishes him the best of luck in all of his future endeavors. Provided information

politically speaking Candidate: Tina M. Brown Monroe County Legislature

Candidate: Sandy Frankel County Executive

My name is Tina Brown, and I am running to represent the First Legislative District in the Monroe County Legislature. This district covers the Town of Parma and the northwest portion of the Town of Greece. I am endorsed by the Republican, Conservative and Independence Parties. I’m proud to say that this district has always been my home. My parents raised my six brothers and sisters and I in Greece, and I attended Greece schools. I obtained an Associates degree from MCC and then earned my Bachelors degree in Community & Human Services from SUNY Empire. Twenty six years ago my husband Mike and I moved to Parma to raise our two sons, Mike and Dan. As our sons grew a little older, I was able to dedicate more time to the community that had given our family so much. I’ve had the privilege to serve on the Parma Town Board since 2012, where I have worked hard to keep taxes down and services in place. Professionally, I am the Administrator at GrandeVille Senior Living Community in Greece. Every day I work with senior citizens and their families to maintain their quality of life. My career provides me with a unique view of the challenges many seniors face. As your county legislator I will continue fighting for tax relief and the programs and services that are important to this community. It has been an absolute pleasure to serve you on the town board, and I am excited for the opportunity to continue doing so from a broader level in the Monroe County Legislature. I look forward to your support on November 3.

The way a person campaigns for office is the way she’ll serve in office. My campaign has been noisy - I have been speaking out on issues that matter to the people of Monroe County, attending candidate forums, and participating in community events. This reflects my pledge that when I am County Executive, I will run an open and transparent government. You will always know what I’m doing on your behalf with the trust you place in me. Contrast this with my opponent; as part of the current Republican regime, Cheryl Dinolfo has acquiesced through her silence to their mismanagement, cronyism and corruption. My Jobs and Economic Development Plan will refocus efforts on growing jobs, job training, a new MCC Skilled Scholars Program, low interest loans that will support small business and fixing COMIDA. Cheryl’s plan calls for doubling down on the same failed approach, which has been rife with scandal and mismanagement. I have met with community leaders, clergy and families to develop a comprehensive anti-violence initiative. I have promised to restore funding to the childcare subsidy. Cheryl was nowhere to be seen during our summer of violence and blames the state - not her cronies - for the lack of childcare funding. Our beloved county is on the cusp of change and there is great promise for a prosperous future. We can’t get there by staying on the same old path. I will guide us in a positive, new direction. To provide that leadership, I ask for your vote. Sandy Frankel, Candidate County Executive

Tina M. Brown, Candidate Monroe County Legislature

Legal Notice Town of Parma Public Hearing for the 2016 Budget and Special Districts

Legal Notices

Dated: October 22, 2015 Donna K. Curry Parma Town Clerk

You have contacted a Realtor to list your home for sale, and the agent indicates that you might get more for your home than comparable homes on the market. Listen to everything, but be careful. Some realtors approach a listing appointment as if they are bidding for your home. Sellers often start out with an unrealistic opinion of their home's value, and there is a strong temptation to go with a person who says what you want to hear. A good Realtor will back up their opinion of your home's value with hard data. The agent should have information about homes that are currently on the market, and recent selling prices of comparable properties. The most heroic marketing effort will not work on an overpriced property. Even if you find a buyer who is willing to pay more than fair market value for your home, the sale could fall apart when the appraisal comes in lower than the agreed upon price.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a Public Hearing for the 2016 Budget and Special Districts for the Town of Parma will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 7:00 p.m., at the Parma Town Hall, 1300 Hilton Parma Corners Road, Hilton, New York. This meeting is open to all interested persons. Copies of the budget are available for viewing at the Town Clerk’s office and will be posted on the Town’s website at www.parmany.org. The proposed salaries for the following Town Elected Officials for 2016 are: $25,605.00 Supervisor Councilperson/Deputy Supervisor $ 8,500.00 3 Councilpersons ($7,216.00 each) $21,650.00 Town Clerk $39,000.00 Highway Superintendent $62,452.00 2 Town Justices ($14,841.00 each) $29,682.00

Dated: October 22, 2015 Donna K. Curry Parma Town Clerk

Photographer Rick Nicholson caught this scene through his camera lens on a crystal clear and cool morning Columbus Day, October 12, as sportsmen were heading out to Lake Alice to see if the salmon had started to run. Waterport Reservoir (Lake Alice) is a 335-acre hydroelectric reservoir created by damming Oak Orchard Creek in Orleans County, Town of Carlton. The NYS Barge Canal is a major tributary and fisheries influence, according to the NYSDEC. Orleans County maintains a concrete boat launch with parking for eight cars/trailers on Oak Orchard River Road (NYS Route 279). Fishermen visit the popular area year ‘round.
