At their meeting on March 17, the Kiwanis Club of Brockport inducted a new corporate member, Something About Relaxation, a comprehensive health and relaxation spa business on West Avenue in Brockport. Representing Something About Relaxation were Diana Roniger and Kathleen Marie.

Knights of Columbus award certificates The Spencerport/Brockport area Knights of Columbus ran their Keep Christ in Christmas coloring contest in December. But with the closure of many activities and trying to maintain social distancing during the latest COVID outbreak, they were unable to give out any certificates or prizes to the winners until recently. The winners were presented with a certificate recognizing their accomplishment, a gift certificate to McDonald’s, and a check for $25. Voting begins in Sunnking’s “Name the Shredder” contest Sunnking has opened voting for its inaugural “Name the Shredder” contest.

After receiving more than 200 creative name submissions from Rochester and Buffalo in March, Sunnking staff and leadership reviewed the list and selected five finalists for public voting – Shreddie Van Halen, Shreddy Krueger, Slim Shreddy, Sir Chomps-a-Lot, and Shreddy Munster.

Voting is now available at sunnking. com/contest and will be open through Wednesday, April 13.

The teams considered various factors when selecting the finalists, including creativity, uniqueness, and names that would be easily identifiable and understandable to broad audiences.

Sunnking will announce the one winning name with the most public votes in mid-April and award the top prize pack.

The contest runner-up will have the option to receive the remaining ticket option available.

The winner will get the choice of four tickets to Six Flags Darien Lake or four game tickets to the Rochester Americans and four game tickets to the Rochester Knighthawks.
