Jessica DeToy, daughter of Michael and Laurel DeToy of Brockport, achieved dean’s list with honors with a GPA of 3.70-3.99 for the 2017 spring semester at The College at Brockport. Jess has conducted research on Invasive Species (plants) through Brockport’s Foundation Summer Undergrad Research Foundation. Her major is environmental science, with minors in biology and chemistry. She will graduate in December 2017. She is a 2014 graduate of Brockport High School. German, the Adjutant General for the State of New York, announced the promotion of members of the New York Army National Guard in recognition of their capability for additional responsibility and leadership. •Chance Ahlberg from Spencerport and assigned to the Company C (Medical), 427th Brigade Support Battalion received a promotion to the rank of Specialist. •Kelly Coopenberg from Holley and assigned to the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 27th Brigade Special Troops Battalion received a

promotion to the rank of Private. •Justin Hurley from Rochester and assigned to the A Troop, 2-101 Cavalry (Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition) received a promotion to the rank of Private.
