e are pleased to present West Suburban Living Magazine’s fifth annual Charitable Events Planner,

now widely recognized as the “go to” guide to the area’s non-profit and charitable fundraising activities and events.

At West Suburban Living, we believe local charities

and non-profits represent a critical thread in the fabric of our communities. It is our hope that this Charitable Events Planner will serve as a useful resource spotlighting the many great fundraising events throughout the year and the wonderful causes they promote.

For many, the activities schedule tends to ramp up in the fall, which is why we put

this booklet in your hands in September, so you can plan ahead and either volunteer, make a donation or attend one or more of the many wonderful events profiled in this booklet. Though we tried to include as many events in this Planner as possible, we undoubtedly missed a few. Some events had not yet been finalized when this booklet went to press and there were others for which we simply did not receive information. Not a problem. One of the benefits of the online age in which we live is that we can constantly add new entries to the electronic version of this booklet on our website. We will also update existing listings as new information becomes available. So for the most current charitable events information throughout the year, please check us out online at www.westsuburbanliving.net.

If you have a charitable event you would like us to help spread the word about, simply

e-mail the information to us at wsl@westsuburbanliving.net and we’ll be happy to post it online and include it in the next printed version of our Charitable Events Planner.

Finally, a sincere thank you to the sponsors (see below) that helped make this

booklet possible. We are fortunate indeed to live in an area where local businesses and organizations take philanthropy seriously and whose many contributions enrich our communities in countless invaluable ways.
