Nautical-Themed Scavenger Hunt Bohicket Excursion

July 29th - July 31st

Wexford Boaters, please join in the last overnight excursion in 2023!

We will depart Wexford Harbor on Friday, July 29th at approximately 8:00am and cruise up the ICW to Bohicket Marina. We will be docking for two nights and pitchin for a collaborative BBQ dinner the first evening. Once we have assembled a roster for our trip, we can determine who brings what as sides. The marina has BBQ grills, and we will take a combined approach to the protein selection. The second day is open to a variety of activities – golf, beach walk, etc. That evening, we will choose a local restaurant to dine and finish our day. We will make our return to Wexford July 31st, at approximately 9:00am, keeping in mind low tide at our home port is 4:09pm.

Bohicket requests one point of contact for vessel slip assignment. If you wish to secure your spot on the excursion, please email Mark hunt, we will gather at the deck near Waves Pool Bar to raise a little cheer for our contest participants and announcement of winners.

We can host up to 20 separate teams of four, so the first teams to register with Mark Dryden, Harbour Master, will be accepted. We will be using a smartphone app called Goosechase to facilitate this event, so teams will need to nominate a captain and come up with a clever team name. While this is an event for the whole family, it is challenging and involves mental and physical challenges, so a good mix of ages is encouraged and rewarded. Kids 10 years of age or younger may ride along with your team.

Slips are secured by the marina on a first-come, first-served basis. The earlier you get your information to me, the better!

Please note that there are condos (AirBnB) for rent surrounding the Bohicket Marina and hotels (Andell Inn at Freshfields Village or Sanctuary at Kiawah Resort) for those not boating but would like to join.
