2023 Board Election

The 2023 Board Election

In December, Wexford owners will be given the opportunity, and the responsibility, to elect three new Directors to replace Vince Sullivan, Sue MacCormack and Bill Busch, who are completing their threeyear terms on the Wexford Board. Over the past three years, Vince, Sue and Bill have given much of their time to serving on the Wexford Board and deserve our appreciation for their contribution to the Wexford community. As you consider the candidates on this year’s ballot, we believe it is important that you do that in a context of familiarity with the background, experience and roles of the outgoing Directors during their tenure. Hopefully, you will be able to use this information to help evaluate this year’s candidates and their qualifications from a more informed perspective.

VINCE SULLIVAN, PRESIDENT

After vacationing in Hilton Head since the late 80s with his family, Vince purchased his first Wexford property 1999 and current home in 2003. He moved here full-time in 2019 after semi-retiring from a business he co-founded in Dallas. He has two daughters and four grandchildren living in the Dallas area. Vince spent his career in a segment of the materials handling industry. His company manufactured, installed, and serviced safety equipment and specialized doors for commercial and industrial customers and contractors. His career started in sales, moved into sales management, partner, and President of his company. Currently, he is President Emeritus and Director of Advisory Board for a servicebased company he co-founded in 2001, which has grown steadily to 30 locations and 850 employees. Vince has an affinity for Wexford’s pristine and beautiful community, and is active in golf and pickleball. He joined the Board of Directors in 2020. In his first two years on the Board, he chaired the Infrastructure and Grounds and Greens committees both years. During that time, the Board navigated through the Covid pandemic, developed a 5-Year Strategic Plan (2021-25) and Golf Master Plan. Notable projects performed within the committees Vince chaired were constructing the pickleball amenity and the golf course irrigation system. He was elected to the Executive Committee as Vice President and President by the Board during his tenure. “It was a pleasure working with fellow Board members and Wexford’s management team while performing this community responsibility,” said Vince. SUE MACCORMACK, VICE PRESIDENT

Sue MacCormack spent her business career in a series of Finance & Operations roles ranging from public accounting to Chief Financial Officer of publicly traded and private technology companies. This path led to becoming a partner in a private equity firm specializing in the acquisition and building of high-growth middle-market healthcare service companies. In 2013, Sue retired and along with husband Bob moved fulltime to the Wexford home they built in 2009. Sue’s love for the Wexford community led quickly to involvement in Women’s golf, including as member and chair of the WWGA Board, member and chair of the Wexford Foundation Board of Trustees, and various committee roles. Sue is completing her second term on Wexford’s Board, having served as a member of the Executive Committee in each year. She served four years as Treasurer and chair of the Finance Committee, and one year each as Secretary and Vice President; led and served on Board created task forces; chaired the House & Social Committee; and currently serves as chair of the Golf Committee. Sue helped to guide the community through challenging periods, including Hurricane Matthew and the COVID-19 pandemic, and was instrumental in formulating Wexford’s 2021-2025 Strategic Plan. She is grateful for the experience of working with her fellow Board members and the entire Wexford management team.
