Season wind-up held for Gymnastics Club

The Assiniboia Gymnastics Club held their end-of-season wind-up on March 23. The day involved regular gymnastics class, where parents and family were allowed to come and watch. After the class, there were treats from Assiniboia Bakery to enjoy.

The Club includes three groups, the Parents and Tots, which is for three and fouryear-old children. The second group is the Beginners, which includes five to eightyear-old kids. The third is juniors, meant for youth eight and up.

They ran a 20week program that had ten classes be -

fore Christmas, and another ten after. The last few years there has been a waiting list for classes, as they are full. This can only speak to the fun at gymnastics classes. The Assiniboia Gymnastics club does not have competitions or awards. They are strictly for the fun of the sport.

The Club is currently working on getting a few more coaches certified. At this time, their coaches are as follows: Dorrell Weal, Christine Weal, Chantel Weal, Shirley Elstrom, Jesse Yasuda, Andi Pinfold, Summer Sheldon, Sarah Kesslering and Kyla Prefontaine.
