Getting colour-bombed during Colour Splash run

A pair of girls in the Colour Splash fun run get bombed by pink powdered dye at the last colour station, located at the entrance to River Park, on Sunday morning. The fundraising fun run was held by the Synchro Stars swim club, with the start and finish at the gazebo in River Park. The route for the walk-run took participants through the Tatagwa Parkway from River Park around the other side of the Souris River and back to River Park.

Two girls in grass skirts and sunglasses added some pink to their outfits, at the last colour station for the Colour Splash fun run held on Sunday morning by the Weyburn Synchro Stars swim club. The run-walk event included e a hot dog lunch served at the gazebo, where the band, The 7th Avenue, provided entertainment, and prizes were awarded to participants.

Tenille and Private Drive sing at Cystic Fibrosis fundraiser

Young helpers hold up trays of specialty cupcakes, made by Stephanie Schmidt, which were being auctioned off at the fundraising event for Cystic Fibrosis held on Friday evening at McKenna Hall. The girls are, from the front going back, Meaghan Weger, Nevaeh Mellon and Teresa Weger. Teresa has cystic fibrosis, and her parents, Mike and Cara Weger, organized the evening fundraiser with a supper and entertainment to raise funds for the CF walk held on Sunday in Regina, where the family presented a total Review Photo 7654 — Greg Nikkel of $51,000.

Singer Tenille Arts, centre, sings the John Denver song “Country Roads” as she is accompanied by the Weyburn band Private Drive, as they perform at the Cystic Fibrosis fundraiser evening at McKenna Hall on Friday. The evening featured a sold-out supper with over 250 people attending, and live and silent auctions, with the proceeds of $31,000 raised donated to the Cystic Fibrosis foundation.
