A group of artists worked on their own portions of a collaborative mural during a mural workshop held on Friday evening at the Signal Hill Arts Centre. The workshop was part of the Culture Days celebration held from Friday to Sunday in Weyburn, with a wide variety of activities and events held at various venues around the city. This workshop was led by Regan Lanning of the Weyburn Arts Council, using a photograph that was taken by local photographer Amanda Payne.

Wendy Colbow listened as instructor Melanie Monique Rose provided some tips on how to work and shape felt, while Alice Neufeld worked on her project at right. The workshop in 3D wet felting techniques was held on Friday evening at the Signal Hill Arts Centre as a part of Culture Days.

Anastasiya Shved carefully painted on a design as she demonstrated the fine art of Ukrainian Easter egg painting at the Soo Line Historical Museum for Culture Days on Saturday afternoon. The museum also had a dreamcatcher-making session, Ukrainian dancing, and food from India and Ukraine for Culture Days, which ran from Friday to Sunday in Weyburn.

Violinist Nadia Babchouk of Midale played traditional tunes from her homeland of Ukraine, as part of the entertainment for Culture Days on Saturday afternoon at the Soo Line Historical Museum. There were also traditional dances performed by members of the Zabutny Ukrainian Dance Ensemble of Regina, with tours and demonstrations held inside the museum, along with unveiling of the boardwalk banners in celebration of Canada’s 150th.

Visitors were able to taste samples of food from a variety of countries at the Culture Fair held at the Weyburn Public Library on Saturday afternoon by the International Women of Weyburn. The event was put on as part of the Culture Days celebration, held from Friday to Sunday in Weyburn.

Several river rocks were displayed with intricate displays of pointillism painted on them, created by artist Dorothy Whitell, seated at the end of the table. She put on a demonstration of her art technique during a reception, which was held on Sunday afternoon for the Weyburn Artists Workshop and Hill Top Painters on the second floor of the Signal Hill Arts Centre as part of Culture Days.
