Minor Baseball holds awards night

The Weyburn Minor Baseball Association awarded their year-end awards, during an awards night held at McKenna Hall. The Brennan Luffman baseball award, presented to a baseball player who demonstrates a number of positive attributes, was awarded to Graham Schmidt. The coach of the year award was presented to Tyrel Hansen. The volunteer of the year award was presented to Wade Keslering. The following is information on awards presented to baseball teams. Softball awards will be published in the Weyburn This Week on October 13. For the mosquito Reds team, Matthew Elmy won most improved, Jarrett Hayward won all around teammate, and Chance Kradovill won most valuable player. For the mosquito White Sox, Connor McIndoe won most improved, Noah Kopec won all around teammate and Nathan Peterson won most valuable player.
