Colourful parade kicks off Fair week
Credit Union has best business float in parade

The Weyburn Credit Union’s float was filled with colour as it made its way south on Third Street during the Chamber’s Fair Parade on Monday morning. The float was judged by the Chamber of Commerce as the best business entry, with a total of 60 floats entered for this year’s parade. Many community businesses, groups and organizations had floats in the parade. The Weyburn Ag Society float was named as the best entry from an organization.
A float from the Weyburn Public Library Adults and children rode in the float from the Weyburn Public Library in the Chamber’s Fair Parade on Monday, as they represent the many programs available at the library, including the Summer Reading Program, which will keep children busy throughout the summer. The Weyburn Ag Society’s float was judged as the best entry from an organization in the Weyburn Chamber’s Fair parade on Monday. The float was comprised of a modified grain bin, with posters and information about the Fair on it along with members of the Ag Society on the float.

Several members of Weyburn’s Filipino community cheered and waved to the crowds on their float in the Chamber’s Fair Parade on Monday, with flags and red and white balloons marking their pride as Canadians. There were a number of vehicles and floats from the Filipino community which took part in the parade.
