Comp Eagles defensive back Kyle Barrett, No. 10, pulled in the football for an interception, on a rare pass by Moose Jaw Peacock Tornadoes quarterback Dallas Lister, during an SHSAA football game on Thursday at Darold Kot Field. The field had a covering of wet snow to make the game slippery, with the yard markers shovelled off for the teams. The Eagles lost this game to the Tornadoes by a score of 14-0.

Players from the Weyburn Strait Jackettes, in white, kept a close watch on the jammer (with the starred helmet) for the Prince Albert Outlaws, during a roller derby match at the Weyburn Curling Rink on September 29. The players with the starred helmets are the ones who score points in roller derby, by getting by the other team’s defenders and lapping the rink. The Strait Jackettes trounced the Outlaws 231-126. The Weyburn team donated the proceeds from the 50-50 draw of $275 to the Weyburn Hospital Foundation in memory of longtime volunteer Neal Keefe.
