Diana Marcotte watches as her daughter Heidi cranks the handle on an old-fashioned ice cream maker, while her son Ethan watches after already having a turn with the crank. The family was visiting the Heritage Village on Friday during the Weyburn Wheat Festival, and this was one of the hands-on demonstrations to show people how the pioneers made ice cream, made ropes or churned butter.
