EVENT AUCTIONEER: Dennis Caldirola A former entertainer and Cruise Director, Dennis originally started as an auctioneer for Kip Toner Benefit Auctions over eighteen years ago. During that time, both as a KTBA auctioneer and as an independent contractor, he has raised millions of dollars up and down the West Coast for such organizations as the American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, the American Heart Association, the NW Kidney Foundation, Room-to-Read and PAWS, as well as numerous elementary schools, high schools, museums, churches and synagogues. He has also been the emcee / announcer for dozens of benefits and charity events throughout the Northwest including the PONCHO Art Auction, the March of Dimes, the Pilchuck Glass Auction, Seattle Prep, and the Seafair Torchlight Parade. SCOTT VEJRASKA, OKANOGAN COUNTY FAIR Scott is a third generation Cattle rancher living on the Sunny Okanogan Angus Ranch with his family. Together they run about 900 mother cows. He has been a lineman 24 years. He is also a Okanogan PUD commissioner for the past 7 years. He is on the AG advisory board for the Omak FFA. He belongs to the Okanogan and Washington Farm bureau and cattle producers of Washington. Most importantly, he spends many hours at the Okanogan County Fair, where as a volunteer he keeps this event going.

2021 EVENT SUPPORTER OF THE YEAR KATE BECKER, KING COUNTY Building sustainable creative communities has been at the core of Kate Becker’s career. Since 2019, Becker has been leading King County’s first creative economy initiative. Just prior to this, Kate served as the Director of Seattle’s Office of Film + Music for five years, spending her days (and nights!) working to build Seattle’s creative economy, keenly focused on the film, music, nightlife and special events industries. She is now expanding upon this work at the regional level. Prior to 2014, Kate served in leadership roles at Seattle Theatre Group, Art Share LA in Los Angeles, and The New Art Center in Boston, MA. She co-founded legendary Northwest all ages venues The Vera Project and the Old Fire House, talent pipelines for the music industry. Kate has produced more than 1,000 all ages shows, and numerous large-scale events and fundraisers. She founded the Old Fire House Media Lab, ensuring that emerging filmmakers and musicians have access to a studio. Kate loves start up culture, and founded two businesses, and two nonprofits. Kate was a charter member of the Seattle Music Commission and currently
KAREN HANAN, ARTSWA Karen Hanan is a senior executive with 25+ years of success providing leadership and managerial direction to state and regional arts service and presenting organizations. She was appointed Executive Director of ArtsWA by Governor Jay Inslee in 2014. As the agency’s head, Karen’s role is to grow the organization’s capacity, services and potential for positively impacting the arts field, arts in education and the State. Previously, Karen was Executive Director of Arts Northwest, the regional service organization for performing arts organizations, arts presenters, artists, agents and associated organizations. During her tenure there, Karen was the driving force in re-positioning the non-profit for growth, artistic vitality, profitability and a commitment to mission. She achieved this through effective planning, vision, partnership building and operational savvy. Karen oversaw the doubling of the organization’s membership and its budget. Prior to her tenure with Arts Northwest, Karen was the founder and Executive Director of the Juan de Fuca Festival of the Arts. She is a well-respected member of a number of industry organizations, and sits on several Boards of Directors. She enjoys opportunities to be a speaker, panelist or event participant where the focus is an arts-related topic, or the creative economy.

VICTORIA JONES, PORT ANGELES MARATHON ASSOCIATION Victoria Jones is the Race Director of several events on the Olympic Peninsula including the North Olympic Discovery Marathon and the Run the Peninsula Race Series. Victoria also works for the Olympic Medical Center Foundation to put on various events throughout the year to raise funds for the local hospital. Victoria holds an MBA from Champlain College, and runs a variety of business interests through her company, Peninsula Management and Consulting. In 2019 Victoria was awarded the Young Leader of the Year award by Port Angeles Chamber of Commerce and is on the board of directors for the Washington State Festivals and Events Association. victoria@nodm.com

2021 WFEA HALL OF FAME INDUCTEES JEANNETTE BRENNAN Jeannette recently retired as WFEA Director. She produced a full package of events, the largest being the Ski to Sea, where she was Race Director for 16 years. During her tenure as Race Director of the event, the multi-sport relay race doubled in size and received national and international recognition - Good Morning America, Wall Street Journal and Sports Illustrated to name a few. In addition Outdoor life Channel showcased the race to millions, Fox Sports Northwest did a special feature, and Northwest Cable News aired its first 30 minute race special. She was recognized as the Tourism Person of the year by the Bellingham / Whatcom Convention and Visitors Bureau with the “Piscilla Saben” award for her contribution to tourism and community development.
DON KARDONG Don competed for Stanford and finished a close 4th place in the 1976 Summer Olympic in Montreal in the Marathon, just three second behind the bronze medal winner. His biggest win was the 1978 Honolulu Marathon. In 1977 he founded the Lilac Bloomsday Run. He became a writer and author, serving as a writer and editor for both Runner’s World and The Runner. He became president of the Road Runners Club of America from 1996-2000. The Bloomsday Run, is held on the first Sunday of May and is a 12K course. In 1996 with 61,298 participants and in some years it has been the largest timed race in the world.

2021 WFEA HALL OF FAME INDUCTEES ROBIN KELLEY Robin has been on the WFEA board for over 25 years. As director of Festivals and Community Engagement of Issaquah Chamber of Commerce she successfully engaged diverse groups of artists, community partners, multiple municipalities, and over 500 volunteers in the iconic annual celebration lssaquah's Salmon Days Festival. In addition she has consulted with various organizations on projects including Swedish Hospital Grand Opening; One Reel Bumbershoot; and the Seattle Tunnel Opening event. Currently she is the Executive Director of the Friends of the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery where she has developed, produced, and collaborated on numerous art projects.
TERRY MORGAN Terry has the most successful minority owned Production Company in Washington State since 1979, Modern Enterprise. With over 40 years of experience in special event design, venue management, artist book and promotion, public relations and fundraising, Modern Enterprises is one of the most creative and innovative event planning teams. Its client list includes Microsoft, Cirque Du Soleil, Children's Hospital, Chateau St. Michelle, and the Museum of Flight to just name a few. He recently produced the highly acclaimed Seattle Center/Space Needle New Year's Eve Show. Modern Enterprises has also produced over 1,000 national and international groups from R.E.M. to Nancy Sinatra. In addition he has also performed for many national acts, including Van Morrison, Sheryl Crow, Steve Miller, Train, and many more.
