` name is Esther Atieno Kodieny. Most people call me Dottie-a name I got from my parents for being their first and remained their only daughter. I am a mother of a seven-year- old very handsome lad by the name TJ.
His names TJ are an abbreviation of Tim James who acquired from his paternal and maternal grandfathers. TJ wants to be so many things and wants to know what his mummy would like to be when she grows up. According to him I will grow up and be the many things God has planned for me. I was married in 2009 and separated in 2011. Since I am a single mum, he looks up to me in many ways. It all started in February 2015 when I received a late night call from one of my friends....

My mum comes to Nairobi for her regular check-ups with her oncologist. I accompanied her to hospital and as she was talking to the doctor, I asked the doc to check at the lump and advice on the way forward. He checked it and ordered for a FNA (Fine needle Aspiration) and an MRI .
The MRI was done before the FNA since the needle mark of the bleeding would give false results. As I walked out of the MRI room, the specialist told me that I was too young to have cancer and that I The results came back and I was told needed to be out with my peers it was fibroadenoma (non-cancerous eating chips and chicken instead of tumor in the breast) and was roaming the hospital corridors trying nothing I needed to worry about. ater that evening I started having difficulty talking and breathing. My mum rushed me to hospital only to find out that my blood pressure had dropped so low. The ER doctor was worried that I couldn’t survive and was reluctant to take me to the ward for admission. I stayed there for quite some time as they tried to figure out what to do. I was given some drugs and upon consultation with my oncologist they decided to take me in for admission.
The subsequent chemo’s were OK. Just after, I went for the surgery and eventually radiotherapy. By the time I was going back home I had been away for about 10 months. My son was in Kenya with my brother Edwin who did an awesome job in keeping him.

A: Wife of Strong Faith – the question you present is a common one, there are many married saints – both male and female with spouses either do not share their faith or share the faith but do not feel compelled to live a righteous life. From my own experience I can tell you that prayer is the most powerful posture a wife (or husband) can take in this sometimes uneasy circumstance. This may seem like a simple and cliché response to your question, but prayer is the most comprehensive solution.
WHAT ADVICE CAN YOU GIVE ME ON HOW TO BUILD HIS FAITH? Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

The implication here is that Christian’s that are coupled should be the result of a man’s declaration that he has found the wife and seeks to obtain his favor with the Lord by actually making her his wife. Christian dating, i.e. courting remains in line with scripture, it the prelude to the marital commitment. Which brings me to my first do of courting:
Do not go a courtin’ with anyone that you do not have the intention to marry.
God is at the head of courtship.
Courting in 2017 – I recently saw someone compare courting, as opposed to dating: courting is for marriage, while dating is for fun. I am inclined to agree because Christian dating is courting and should be done for the purpose of marriage – which brings me to the very first don’t of courting:
The Bible does speak of courting, however we must be able to infuse some Godsense – wisdom – when we read scripture. Courting is more often than not the effect of a man’s physical attraction to a woman – not that the woman is not mutually attracted, but the Bible speaks of a man finding a wife. You were not created to live just getting by, just living this life in robotic motions day in and day out. You were created to live a life of abundance of peace and joy and not in torment and depression.
WE SERVE SUCH A WONDERFUL FATHER that he has given us three gifts that is ours for the taking. These three gifts are used as tools to help us life that life of abundance, of Blessing. These three gifts are Faith, Hope, and Love.
LOVE
Mary Priddy's blog
Love is the sweetest gift. To feel love and to know that you are loved is a mighty strong weapon against the enemy. Because when you feel the Love of Abba, you feel that you can be and do anything. Love gives you the strength to stand and face this world with you head held high because you know you are loved and you know that you are not alone.
Love says that you can and that you will and Love binds all the lies of the enemy saying that you can not and you are not good enough. Love is the very essence of who we are. Love is the reason we were created because God loves us so much to breathe His life of breath into us and give us a life.
Love without boundaries is so

powerful because you are not limited by how you feel but you are thrusted into your destiny by who God says you are out of His Love for you!
FAITH Faith is a substance of love because you have Faith in God who loves and adores more than you can ever imagine. Faith looks the enemy in the eye and says
“not today”. Faith looks
at the mountain and knows that there is no fear because Faith will cause that mountain to crumble.
Faith is mighty in power and you have that power within. Faith is God will birth Faith within you in yourself. Because see, God doesn’t do anything without making it a learning experience. So giving us Faith as a gift, we would only use this
faith when we needed to know that we know everything will be ok and all things will work out for the good for those who believe. So faith is a teaching gift because you are learning to trust in God and are learning to have confidence in yourself. When Faith and Love collide it produces Hope.
HOPE Hope, I love hope. Even on your darkest days when you cannot see the sunlight at all because you doomsday feeling has you left so depressed and down, even then if you have just a little hope that is life. Hope is life giving because it lets you know that tomorrow Is another day and that life will not always be like this. Hope is more precious than gold because Hope tells fear to go on somewhere. Hope allows you to rest assured in today because you have hope that the future is what you chose to make it. You can either stay in this “poor me” attitude or you can have Hope and Believe that you were created for
Greatness and your best days are coming soon. Faith is Love wrapped in Hope. You can not have one without having all three because they are tied together that way. So know that you are more than you think you are and you are not who others say you are. You are an amazing, beautiful, child of the King and nothing will ever separate you from His love! You are Redeemed, Restored, Refined and Adored. You were raised up for such a time as this and no power in Hell can stop the Amazing Call on your life! Just hold onto your Faith and allow the Love of God to surround you and give you Hope for tomorrow.

a reason to hope
WHAT IS HOPE?
LIN JOHNSON
DESMOND TUTU SAID, “HOPE IS BEING ABLE TO SEE THAT THERE IS LIGHT DESPITE ALL THE DARKNESS.” IT WHISPERS, “YOU’LL OVERCOME THIS HARDSHIP.” IT REASSURES US, SOOTHING OUR MINDS BY REMINDING, “LIFE WILL IMPROVE.”
HELP U GET AT U NEED LIFE.
What is hope? Desmond Tutu said, “Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all the darkness.” It whispers, “You’ll overcome this hardship.” It reassures us, soothing our minds by reminding, “life will improve.” Sometimes -- most of the time -life can seem a bit disappointing. Even the greatest lives are full of profound loss and heartbreak. It seems that pain is inevitable, and while we may say that we know good can come out of it, what hurts still hurts. In the process, one can quite easily lose hope: in life, in God, and even in oneself. Despair is often cyclical, spiraling one into depression and helplessness, leading to even greater despair. The result is that one sad thing leads to another and so on, until we feel that we can;t possibly break free. It can all be a bit too much for our souls to handle. We often lose things. Some may be little things like keys, wallets and homework. Those small things that when they are lost become irritants in our lives. All those things are replicable. Often, when we lose important things like jobs, loved ones, pets and health, they are devastating and push us to our limits. However, we press on and adjust to life. When we lose hope, there is no pressing on.
A reason to hope by Lin Johnson In English, we often speak about hope when something in the future is not certain. For example, we say, ‘We hope that all will be well.’ But that is not the meaning of hope in the Bible. By the word ‘hope’, the Bible means that something in the future is certain. We should be confident because God will definitely do those good things. We can expect them to happen.
concept -- the kind of beauty that makes you want to cry just for the sake of how overwhelming it is. In our most dire moments, when our failures have outweighed our triumphs, when sadness has seemed to overcome any joy left in us, we need hope. And in those times, I believe that God sends the least expected people and circumstances into our lives to reinvigorate our spirits and remind us how good life still is.
There have been points throughout my life where I didn’t have the energy to fight. My ability to car about walking with God seemed to not only vanish but vaporize, leaving no trace of its existence. I wanted to give up, throw in the towel, hide under the blanket on my bed and never look back. Though God, in His infinite wisdom, kindness and love “laid beside me” and gently whispered hope. His whispers of hope brought back to life areas that were dead. I was reminded that I am the one who is broken and in need of hope.
There is a close relationship between faith and hope. We see faith in our actions when we trust God. We see hope in our attitude when we have confidence in him. Both faith and hope depend on God’s promises. The author of Hebrews mentions several occasions when God made a promise with an oath. An oath is a serious declaration that he will do those things. The promise gives us faith. We have faith when we trust God’s promises. And the oath gives us hope. God gave the oath so that we would have confidence (or hope) in him (Hebrews 6:17-18).
Isn’t it amazing that God would come to us when we are looking our worst and gently whisper hope to us. Its such a beautiful
Faith, hope and love are very important in
the lives of Christians. They are three qualities that last always (1 Corinthians 13:13). Faith, hope and love are the things that make Christians strong. And when someone joins three strong things together, the result is even stronger (Ecclesiastes 4:12)!
What are the benefits of hope? Hope is a remedy for all sorts of hardships and misfortunes. Hope motivates us to persevere when our lives are infused stressful life situations or painful events. Hope provides the gift of faith. It instills the will to believe, motivates a person to read sacred texts, to engage in prayer and meditation, to contemplate the mysteries of life and find answers. Hope reminds us to live a moral life —to be compassionate and kind. Hope is a spiritual practice that enables us to feel “spiritual”, enabling us to experience awe, wonder, and delight. With hope, we are able to transcend the self, observe the beauty in nature, live in peace, be respectful to others, live mindfully, and believe in the unknown, the ineffable. Hope is an essential ingredient of optimism, which teaches us “dwell on the best possibilities” in a dire situation. Hope as a spiritual practice is a remedy for hopelessness, existentialism,
nihilism.” Hope is not wishful thinking, nor is it magical thinking. Hope is an emotion, a mindset, a belief, a motivation, that despite setbacks and obstacles, despite hardship and misfortune, despite the unknown last chapter of your life’s story, you believe that your life will work out, that when you take your last breathe, there is something else beyond this world. Jeremiah 29:11 (ESV) says “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Future and hope go together. We can’t face the future without hope. Part of God’s loving grace is the gift of hope.
Hebrews 11:1 (KJV) tells us that “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. My hope in God is the driving force for my faith in Him. Those of you with a strong experience of faith will likely be somewhere between a sure grasp of faith and an attitude which is little more than hope. If you often find yourself dominated by feelings of despair, I urge you to spend more time in prayer and worship so that you might find the hope and faith you need in order to live more fully and more productively.
sure of it. The attitude of faith declares that the object of our hopes is indeed real. Living faith empowers us to live loyally to our highest ideals in the present moment. Hope is sustaining. Hope is intentional. Hope is strength. So I bid to you, as the book of Romans
tells us, May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. As Christians without looking unto Jesus who is the author and finisher of our faith, we cannot Jesus said of himself, I am the hope endure. We must focus on the joy of all who know the living truth. The which is set before us, which is real spiritual challenge which we Christ our hope. face is the strengthening of hope to the point where it becomes Wherever you find yourself today, faith.
