1 How to
interpret your Horoscope
Many of us have contradictory personalities, a fact that a horoscope will of course reflect. Don’t be surprised if parts of the interpretation of your horoscope seem contradictory. One and the same person can be miserly i n o n e w ay a n d g e n e ro u s in another. Paying careful at tention to the particular sign described will clarify the apparent contradiction.
Horoscope Chart/Zodiac
The horoscope cast at birth is an observation of the sky and of the configuration of the planets at the instant of birth. Our horoscope begins with your personal chart of the zodiac.
Time of Birth
The precise moment of birth is essential to casting a personal horoscope. An error of a mere ten minutes can be of vital importance. The moment of your birth in local time is translated to a time scale applicable the world over: GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) or - better - UT(C) (Coordinated) Universal Time.
Aspect
The concept “aspect” refers to the geometric relationship of angles between planets. These relationships are based on the fact that the distance of angles causes a reciprocal effect between planets. These distances between angles (0°, 45°, 120° etc.) are called aspects. Aspects can strengthen or weaken one another.

Transits - Lines of Fate
The horoscope of birth reflects the configuration of the planets at the instant of birth. Since all planets move through the heavens at varying speeds one of them must logically at some time or other transit that part of the zodiac at which a particular planet stood at the moment of your birth. Observation of these transitions makes it possible to predict the future.

Houses
The heavens are divided into twelve houses or signs of the zodiac of which six are above and six below the horizon relative to a particular birthplace. This makes it possible to interpret precisely the influence of the stars and the zodiac, each house relating to a specific area of your life. The interpretation itself depends on the planets in each house and their positions relative to one another as in the pages before dealing with aspects.
Qualities
The three kinds of energies under which signs of the zodiac are classified: cardinal, fixed and mutable. They represent different types of activity. Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn) are enterprising, active, initiating. Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius) are persistent, determined and resourceful. Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces) are versatile, adaptable and flexible.
Elements
The four fundamental substances (fire, earth, air and water) under which the signs of the zodiac are classified. Fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) are energetic and enthusiastic; earth signs (Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn) are practical and stable; air signs (Gemini, Libra and Aquarius) are communicative and intellectual; water signs (Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces) are emotional and imaginative.
AC - Ascendant - Rising Sign
The sign of the zodiac that was rising on the eastern horizon at the time of birth and the point in a birth chart that marks the cusp of the First House. The Ascendant characterises a person’s outward approach to life. In a birth chart, planets at or near the line of the Ascendant strength and power of a person’s self.
[
With five planets in House 11 (one of the relationship / air houses) you are communicative, other-oriented and motivated to create fulfilling relationships of all sorts.
[
[
With an emphasis on Cardinal signs you are action-oriented, brave and willing to take the initiative.

2 Sun 1
SUN in ARIES
`_A
The sun rules will power and ego. It is the core of your potential and uniqueness as an individual; who you are and what you are about. It represents the main direction and focus you want your life to take, and your determination to accomplish what you set out to do. It is your personal honesty and integrity, and the ability to command respect and authority, to impress and influence others.
As the first sign of the zodiac, Aries represents the first stage in the evolution of man and his place in the universe. The raw energy of life itself, which is the first step in being part of the universe, is evident in the character and make-up of Aries people. Babies think of themselves as the centre of everyone else’s universe. As they grow older, they learn that they are not the centre but part of a family group. It is the karmic responsibility of the Aries-born to accept the idea that they are not the centre of the universe but part of the larger social order of all men. Aries personalities who do not develop this kind of maturity are demanding and infantile in their behaviour. They want what they want, when they want it. The vital life force that is their celestial heritage can either be used to inspire others as well as themselves, or it can be turned inward to reflect only their own selfish needs, and as a result, they fail to evolve as individuals.
2
Aries people are doers. They set out to accomplish things and are determined to succeed one way or another. The astrological symbol for Aries is the Ram and, considering the sheer force of energy and enthusiasm by which they accomplish their goals, it is not off the mark to suggest that they “ram” their way to success. They must, however, learn the difference between being confidently aggressive--a responsible “take-charge person” on whom others rely to get things moving-- and being rudely aggressive-- a “knowit-all” who is insensitive to the feelings as well as the wisdom of others. Aries individuals react in a physical way to everything they experience in life. That is, before they assess the practicality or worth of what they are doing, before they sort out their true emotions, and, before they take time to reason things out intellectually, their tendency is to shoot first and ask questions later. Their passionate nature is inspiring and flattering to others, but unless impatience and rash behaviour are curbed, their unbridled enthusiasm backfires when they lose interest just as quickly as they gained it. Theirs is the astrological sign of the soldier but in their haste, they forget the practicality of being adequately armed before rushing headlong into physical or verbal combat. They quickly forget frustration and anger. Since theirs is essentially a generous nature, their selfishness is usually a result of carelessness rather than intentional unkindness. Active, fiery Mars rules Aries and indeed, Aries people are highspirited, energetic individuals ready to try anything at least once. Courageous, optimistic, and friendly, they are lively participants in the everyday bustle of life, maintaining a frantic pace others find difficult to match. Constant physical activity works off excess 15

1 energy, and its vitalising influence is important to their intellectual and creative endeavours. It is usually the energetic Aries who is willing to start projects others would be afraid to tackle. However, it is also Aries who often fails to finish things when too many details demand attention or they simply lose interest. In spite of the physical energy associated with Aries, they are not above using the inability of others to keep up with them as an excuse for their own idleness. If they expect others to provide them with constant stimulation and are unwilling to find their own diversions, they become lazy. Cut off from physical activity, they become depressed, unproductive, and overweight. They are eager athletes and generous players. They enjoy the challenge of a tough contest, but they can be so stimulated that they become too aggressive. Aries rules guns and weapons, so it isn’t surprising that many Aries individuals enjoy hunting. Combative by nature, they also enjoy boxing, wrestling, and most team sports. They are apt to be mechanically inclined and adept at arts and crafts, typing, working with machinery, playing musical instruments, or performing magic tricks. They have a tendency to allow their enthusiasm to exceed their actual ability. Before taking something apart, they don’t stop to wonder if they can put it back together. Aries colours are red and white. Vulnerable parts of the body are the head and face. As a sign of this celestial association, many Aries individuals are born with a birth mark on their head or face. Headaches, black eyes, nose bleeds, and insect bites are common Aries complaints. The birthstone for Aries is the diamond. The tremendous heat and pressure that nature exerts in turning carbon into hard, brilliant diamonds represent the strength and physical force in the Aries-born. Flowers for Aries include the poppy (red),
geraniums, honeysuckle, and hollyhocks.

2 Moon 2
MOON in TAURUS
a_ B
The moon rules desire as opposed to ego, need as opposed to expediency or reason. It describes how you feel about yourself, how you handle relationships, and how you emotionally respond to situations and experiences. It describes the flow of your daily functions; physical, emotional, and mental. The moon represents your residence and domestic environment. It rules babies and young children, your mother and other important females in your life.
Except in the pursuit of pleasure (to which many of them can be quite dedicated) those born with the moon in an Earth sign are not emotionally spontaneous. They don’t nonchalantly accept the responsibility of long-term relationships, or analyse emotional commitments merely as a mental exercise. They may hesitate to move at all unless they feel they are on solid ground, or there is some personal advantage to be gained by their emotional involvement. As lunar Earth sign personalities, those with moon in Taurus require tangible proof of affection from those with whom they form relationships. Their strong physical appetites push them to gratify their desires whenever they have the opportunity, but never in an outwardly reckless manner that threatens their basic security. Material comforts and the advantages of wealth are important to them, and they can become overly concerned with social status. Though they enjoy having the stability of a solid home and family life, they are not necessarily homebodies. In fact, they tend to spend a lot of time and attention on social or economic pursuits instead of routine household or family chores.
2
Taurus moon personalities do not want to be rushed or forced into commitments. However, once they do make an emotional commitment to a project, idea, or relationship, they doggedly pursue and hang on to it. It’s hard for them to accept when things go wrong, and it may take an even longer time for them to make the necessary adjustments to rectify the situation. Their calm and quiet temperament has a stabilising influence on others, but it can also give them an aura of self-containment that makes them appear proud or unapproachable. Others who break promises or fail to keep their word to them must be prepared to endure the consequences. Moon in Taurus personalities have long memories. They may forgive but they rarely forget. Some of them remember personal insults and disappointments for years, wasting precious time bearing grudges that should have been long forgotten. Women with Taurus moon are independent and self-reliant. Their nature is to spend lavishly in particular situations and be very miserly in others. There doesn’t seem to be a middle ground in the matter. They are apt to gain materially through marriage. Men with Taurus moon are charming and diplomatic in social relationships and sensual partners in romantic encounters. Though they can be hedonistic, they are also unselfishly devoted to their children.

2 Mercury 3
MERCURY in PISCES
b_ L
Mercury indicates mental outlook, intellectual endeavours, the way you think and communicate. It represents ideas, methods, and information. It rules your hands and thus your manual dexterity and mechanical skills. Mercury also describes transportation; that is, how you get where you’re going physically and mentally. Do you speed with all possible haste or amble along taking a few detours here and there?
The mental processes of those with natal Mercury in Pisces are influenced by their emotions. They find it hard to separate emotions from ideas and opinions, frequently allowing passion and idealism to overrule logic. Their mental orientation can be unstable, unrealistic, and overly spiritual. However, they may possess uncanny instincts and remarkable sensitivity to beauty and design. If supported by other strengths, they have a photographic memory, mathematical abilities, and sometimes more common sense than they are given credit for. When it comes to learning and transportation, it is apt to be their emotional strength or weakness that determines whether an individual forges straight ahead or ambles aimlessly from place to place at a snail’s pace.
[
As a Mercury-Piscean you are imaginative and creative, but you tend to lack self-confidence. At times you appear timid or confused.
[

2 Venus 4
VENUS in ARIES
c_ A
Venus rules your social attitudes and behaviour, and your aesthetic tastes and inclinations. It is female relationships and social interactions at every level. Venus indicates your values. It describes romance, marriage and other partnerships, capacity for humour, and the pursuit of pleasure.
Individuals with natal Venus in Aries rush to enthusiastically embrace relationships of all kinds. They enjoy having fun and some of their pursuits may involve an element of risk. Their passionate eagerness can be inspiring and contagious, but a penchant for undue haste sometimes results in being rude. The combative nature of Aries also means they can be too aggressive in forcing their attentions or affections on others. Their social instincts are friendly and, most of the time, attractively uncomplicated. Unwilling to take the necessary time to make proper evaluations, they are not very discriminating in their values and relationships. This is something, however, that can be overcome with maturity and guidance. They are not likely to seek a peaceful or mundane existence, preferring to be active and among people to find their inspiration.
[
As a Venus-Arien you attract friends because of your demonstrative and enthusiastic attitude. You like to bring unexpected gifts to those you love.
[
23
2 Mars 5
MARS in TAURUS
d_ B
Mars rules physical energy and efforts. It describes the strength and direction of the physical force that drives your ego, fires your emotions, and encourages your mental endeavours and communicative skills. It describes male relationships and associations, risk-taking inclinations, and the physical challenges you are likely to encounter.
Individuals with natal Mars in Taurus are not likely to waste their time or efforts. Whatever they seek to accomplish or to acquire is consciously or subconsciously linked to satisfying a need for personal security. For most of them, it is usually in the form of money or other material assets. Even those who do not seek to amass material wealth become discouraged if their efforts and activities do not result in gaining some goal or tangible reward. Physical pleasures are often the object of their energetic pursuits. The Taurean influence gives these individuals patience and determination, and is also an indication of artistic skills. They are likely to possess great physical strength and stamina, or at least have the capacity to develop them.
[
Success to you means money, material possessions, and true love. A great deal of your energy is spent in sexual pursuits; your passions are earthy and determined.

2 Jupiter & 6
Saturn JUPITER in TAURUS
e_ B
Individuals with natal Jupiter in Taurus are usually concerned with the physical world, its pleasures and its traditional structures. Comfortable with wealth and status, they use their advantages not only for personal growth and progress, but also to improve the quality of life for others. They want the growth and expansion they experience to be real and tangible. In other words, they want to physically see their progress, to feel it or hold it.
SATURN in LIBRA
f_ G
Jupiter rules your potential for growth and expansion on many levels; physical, intellectual, spiritual, cultural, and the accumulation of material assets, power, and status. It describes your optimism and aspirations. It represents your father and his position in society. Saturn rules responsibilities, restrictions and limitations you are apt to encounter, and the lessons you must learn in life. It does not deny or diminish imagination, inspiration, spirituality, and good fortune but it does demand that these things be given structure and meaning.
Most of the restrictions encountered by individuals with natal Saturn in Libra involve interactions with other people, partnerships, or contractual arrangements. Interactions with others tend to get complicated no matter how fleeting the association may be. They tend to get more involved in situations than they had originally intended to. If something in their development or background knocks them off balance, they may tend to stay away from all relationships. On the positive side this also implies stable and longlasting relationships.
[
As a Jupiter-Taurean you have an eye for beauty and art. You tend to collect paintings and sculpture that often increase in value.
[
[
Saturn in Libra is an excellent position for success in public life, and also for a strong showing in artistic pursuits.
[ 27
2 Transpersonal 7
Planets URANUS in CANCER
g_ D
Uranus rules personal as well as societal freedom. It indicates originality of thought and expression. In society it rules radical ideas and people as well as revolutionary events that upset established structures. Neptune rules those who are oppressed or abandoned; the misfits of society. On a higher level it rules visionaries, and those who are glamorous and charismatic. It represents spirituality, mysticism, and ideals. Pluto rules intense energy, and describes the areas in which you consciously or subconsciously seek to exercise power or control.
Uranus takes approximately seven years to transit one sign, taking about 84 years to complete all twelve signs. Since groups of people with Uranus in the same sign are separated by 84 years, the influence of this planet in a sign is generational. The personal implications of Uranus in your life are described by its house position and the aspects it makes with other planets in your natal chart. It describes areas of unpredictability, and where you or your life style may be different than those around you. It relates to the unusual or unique. Friends and associations to which you belong are also indicated, as is your potential involvement with science and technology, computers, and the media. The generation of individuals born with natal Uranus in Cancer sponsor new and non-traditional concepts of family and domestic issues. These individuals may not want to own homes, or they may be forced to live in circumstances that make it difficult to afford homes. New ways of sharing family responsibilities emerge, as well as new ideas and methods concerning food and nurturing.
NEPTUNE in LIBRA
Neptune is in one sign for approximately thirteen years, taking about 164 years to complete its cycle through all twelve signs. Since 164 years separate people born during its transit of one sign and those born when it returns, Neptune’s significance in any sign is described as generational or historical. On a personal level, Neptune’s house position and the aspects it makes with other planets in your natal chart will describe spirituality, abstract thinking, illusion, disillusionment, and other areas of your life where things aren’t always what they seem. It rules derangement, guilt, persecution, and describes the potential for experiences related to confinement, abandonment, and addiction or physical intolerance to drugs. During the most recent period of Neptune in Libra in 1942-1957 the establishment of the United Nations was typical of the Libran effort to establish peace. Neptune’s influence is also evident since the U.N. has had minimal effect in accomplishing its goals. Equality (Libra) for minorities (Neptune) may get attention but real solutions may prove illusive.

29
PLUTO in LEO
P_ E
Pluto takes approximately 248 years to make one cycle through all twelve signs. The period Pluto spends in each sign can vary from twelve years to thirty two years due to the eccentricity of its orbit. Like atomic energy (a force ruled by Pluto), the presence and direction of Pluto’s energy are never obvious until it is used. Pluto’s influence in any sign is interpreted as generational or historical. In your personal life, Pluto’s significance is interpreted from its house position and the aspects it makes to other natal planets in your horoscope. Pluto is also linked to your karmic responsibility, and in this respect, it describes the areas where you must gain the deepest level of understanding. Pluto’s last period in Leo was 1938-1957. Leo rules the king or representative government. During Pluto’s transit of Leo in the late 1600’s and early 1700’s, John Locke, philosopher of the English Revolution and American Revolution, wrote his famous essays stating that governments existed by virtue of voluntary agreements and their function was to protect the rights of individuals.

With Pluto in 3rd House your soul’s evolutionary intent is to develop your intuition and understand the metaphysical significance behind the information.

3 Part 2:
the Outer You
I n Par t Tw o yo u w i l l read about the twelve houses of the horoscope. The houses represent areas of life in which you operate on a daily basis. You will read descriptions of how you handle the circumstances you encounter in each of these areas, according to your nature, personality and other traits as they are outlined in Part One.
33
3 House 1
One
The first house and the sign that rules the first house, which is also known as the Ascendant or Rising sign, describes your outer personality and physical attributes. To some extent it also describes your health and the type of illnesses you may experience.
CANCER ASCENDANT
q_ D
A Cancer Ascendant indicates those who are dedicated to satisfying their personal ambitions. However, they can appear so vulnerable that it is difficult for others to determine just how determined or strong they really are. They can be quite circumspect and hesitant to reveal their true goals until they are certain of success. There is potential they will have traumatic partnerships, especially marriage. Many of them prefer to marry late in life, and tend to select older or more mature partners or those who represent an authority figure. They are emotionally oriented and may attempt to hide this vulnerability behind a facade of forcefulness even though, more often than not, the ploy is unsuccessful. Emotional vulnerability does not deny personal magnetism or ambition. In fact their emotional commitment to something often causes them to work twice as hard as anyone else, becoming quite successful in the bargain. Home is not just where their hearts are, it is usually where they want to physically spend most of their time and attention.
3
Cancer is ruled by the moon, which implies strong nurturing instincts that are evidenced in their caring, sympathetic personalities. In return, they also seek to be “mothered and may be guided in life by a strong person (usually female) who fills this role. Their personalities are subject to great changes. Consciously or subconsciously they are highly influenced by others. They may, for example, adopt the latest fashions or mode of behaviour whether or not it is personally flattering, or they may pursue certain activities they feel give them social status rather than being something they may truly enjoy. They are apt to possess culinary skills, and design or architectural ability. Whether or not they have talent in these areas, they are apt to have great interest in them. Roundness of face, pale, sensitive skin, and baldness or finely textured hair are physical attributes identified with Cancer Ascendant. Their bodies have a strong tendency to retain water. Their emotional orientation is indicative of an addictive nature, which means it is difficult to escape a battle with excess weight or addictive substances. The breasts, stomach, and digestive system are apt to be their most physically vulnerable areas.
35
1
URANUS in 1st HOUSE
g
Uranus in the first house indicates individuals who tend to be argumentative and who enjoy playing devil’s advocate. They believe they are different and unique as an individual, or at least they want to give the appearance of being so. It is one reason they love to take the opposing side in discussions. The personality and appearance of these individuals are often somewhat off-beat or out of step with current fashion. Being different does not necessarily extend to a fiery or excitable nature. In fact, they are more likely to possess a calm, quiet, demeanour much of the time. They are capable, however, of such unexpected behaviour and reactions, it is difficult to predict with certainty what they will do in any given situation. Though they may require a certain amount of personal independence, marriage is not usually a problem unless their partner becomes too dependent or too possessive. They can get restless if there isn’t enough in their immediate environment to stimulate them but whether or not they will seek to change a boring existence, depends on other motivating factors in their personality and background. They are fascinated by strange and unusual things or people. Intrigued by futuristic topics and technologies, they also have great interest in the past. History and politics are usually their favourite subjects.
[
Uranus in the 1st House indicates both eccentricity and inventiveness; you probably are ahead of your time and have a strong intuition.
[
37
3 House 2
Two
CANCER on 2nd HOUSE
The second house describes material assets, how you handle monetary income, and the potential ways it may be earned. It also indicates the values and priorities you establish throughout life.
Cancer ruling the second house indicates individuals who tend to equate money or personal assets with emotional security. They are apt to exhibit this Cancerian influence in one of two classic behaviour patterns. Either they find it difficult to hang on to resources because they spend money when emotionally upset, or they are very conservative, even miserly about spending assets because without these assets they feel vulnerable and insecure. The more common tendency for these individuals is to engage in impulse buying or acquire property of one sort or another as a way of seeking emotional consolation. There is also strong potential they will consciously or subconsciously attempt to use money or status to buy the affections of others, or in turn allow their own affections to be bartered in the same way. They can demonstrate great flexibility when it comes to priorities. What they deem important today may not be so important tomorrow. There is possibility of family inheritance or income from a family trust, just as there is also the possibility of having to take financial responsibility for family members.
[
With Cancer Rising, you are very sensitive to emotional signals from other people. You have extraordinary insight into human motivation.
[

3 House 3
Three
LEO on 3rd HOUSE
The third house describes your mental state, intellectual orientation, self-expression and communication, e a rl y e d u ca t i o n , m ec h a n i ca l dexterity and skills, immediate environment (neighbourhood), and siblings. It indicates physical ac t i o n s , a n d t ra n s p o r t a t i o n , especially within your immediate environment. To a certain extent the third house also describes the job or health of your father.
Leo ruling the third house indicates individuals who are likely to assert themselves and their ideas through all kinds of communication networks they set up, and by being (or trying to be) everywhere at once. Their need for self-expression goes beyond mere desire. Thoughts and ideas are the direct expression of their egos. In turn this implies they need to find ways to express themselves as a means of preserving their egos. They want to develop their ideas, but it doesn’t necessarily mean they will seek a formal education. Nor does the desire to assert their ideas signify they will seek public recognition. They may be content, for example, with a simple thing like keeping a diary. If they have talent their egos find adequate expression in artistic endeavours. There is likely to be much interaction with others in their immediate vicinity such as family members or neighbours. Their facility and need for communication may turn them into constant travellers, letter writers, and telephone users. They enjoy dealing with information and ideas.
PLUTO in 3rd HOUSE
Pluto in the third house indicates those who develop singular powers of concentration, and are often very intense in the way they express their thoughts and ideas. As very keen observers, they miss very little of what goes on around them. Ability to concentrate their attention does not guarantee that they will apply it to scholarly pursuits, or that they have any real understanding of what they observe. It implies that they can present incredibly detailed descriptions of their observations. They consciously or subconsciously regard information as being useful in terms of the power it gives them over others. The old saying “mind over matter” is particularly true for these individuals. Though they may not choose to develop it, they possess remarkable mental ability to persuade themselves (as well as others) that something is true, whether it is or not. They enjoy secrets, mysteries, and intrigue. By choice or circumstance there may be some secrecy related to their communications, travel, siblings, and neighbours, or to their primary school experiences and/or their father’s work or health.

VIRGO on 4th HOUSE
The fourth house describes y o u r re s i d e n ce , d o m e s t i c e nvi ro n me n t , an d fam i ly m e m b e rs , e s p ec i a l l y y o u r m o t h e r. I t i n d i ca t e s t h e beginning as well as the end of various cycles in your life.
Virgo ruling the fourth house indicates those who are likely to prefer working at home or spend a great deal of time with hobbies or projects at home. They often possess extensive collections of magazines and other factual material. If they happen to be more mechanically inclined than intellectually oriented, their homes become bases for tinkering with mechanical devices, the most popular of which are automobiles. Because of the sensitive, critical nature of Virgo, its influence implies they have a critical eye toward certain aspects of their households. They may, for example, have a compulsion to maintain neat well-organised homes. They allow their homes to be used for community meetings or other neighbourhood projects. The negative potential of Virgo’s influence can mean arguments or separation from siblings, as well as estrangements and disagreements with neighbours. Virgo’s influence suggests that the domestic nature of these individuals can be very restless, indicating frequent changes of residence, frequent alterations to their homes, or maintaining more than one residence.

With Pluto in the 3rd House travelling opens new experiences for you and sometimes marks a significant turnng point in your life.

3 House 5
Five
LIBRA on 5th HOUSE
The fifth house describes your creative talent and imaginative powers, capacity for enjoyment and the pursuit of pleasure, romance, chi ldren, and speculative ventures.
Libra ruling the fifth house indicates the possibility of individuals who can raise the pursuit of pleasure to a fine art. They are likely to have the capacity to genuinely enjoy the physical pleasures that life has to offer, and are often just plain lucky as well. They love to be dressed in the very best and most beautiful clothes, and to attend the very finest and most elegant places to dine and be entertained. They usually have such wonderful manners and personal charm others don’t notice or become offended if they happen to overindulge themselves. They are among the world’s best and most romantic lovers, and their conquests often don’t seem to mind being only one in a long line of romantic partners. The negative potential can mean inability to enjoy things, problems with children or romance, and bad luck in speculative ventures. A fifth house Libra influence indicates those who are very artistic and may be talented stage or costume designers, musicians, writers or illustrators. They are apt to have wonderful social rapport with children, understanding instinctively what will amuse and entertain them.
SATURN in 5th HOUSE
Saturn in the fifth house indicates those whose lessons in life involve children, romance, pursuit of pleasure, speculative ventures, and the use of creative talent. Saturn’s restrictive influence does not necessarily indicate lack of offspring. It implies that relationships with young children may be burdened with too much sombreness or formality. However, as these children mature, relationships with them may become more satisfying. Death or separation from their spouse may thrust the entire parental responsibility for children on these individuals. Self-indulgence and the pursuit of pleasure are sure to be penalised. Romance requires commitment. Even when commitment is not necessary, their romantic encounters are seldom free of inhibitory factors somewhere along the line. Social activities are often undertaken as much for business purposes as for simple enjoyment. Gambling is seldom a good idea for these individuals. When good luck does come along, it must never be taken for granted. The best philosophy is to take the money and run. Artistic or creative talent may be limited or nonexistent. Those who do possess such a gift, may have difficulty developing or gaining recognition for it. Maintaining a healthy, balanced perspective and determined attitude in all that has just been described, brings these individuals well-earned joy and success.

SATURN conjunct NEPTUNE (****) Saturn conjunct Neptune is a generational aspect that implies bankruptcy unless other planetary aspects made at the same time soften the blow. Neptune in the fifth house indicates those who experience certain elements of illusion, confusion, or mystery connected with romance, children, speculative ventures, social activities, the pursuit of pleasure, and artistic or creative projects. These individuals may find romance with dancers, artists or those involved with religion or the occult. It also suggests that their children and/or lovers have artistic talent, psychic ability, or that they are very spiritual. Love is blind is an apt description for those with a fifth house Neptune. The negative potential includes deception in romance, or a romantic partner who is confined, disabled, or addicted to drugs. Other Neptune potentials include those who adopt or care for a child who is not their own. Their children may suffer from mental confusion, physical disability, or adverse reaction to drugs. There is also implication of the loss of a child or lover. These individuals may possess remarkable intuition in speculative ventures. However, since deception and loss are also possible, they should never take good fortune for granted or risk anything they cannot afford to lose. Neptune’s influence suggests fondness for dance, theatre, and art.
When it comes to evaluating their own talent in these areas, they may have to rely on the opinion of others since their own judgment (whether it is positive or negative) may be clouded or unrealistic. In the pursuit of pleasure, they may become dangerously overindulgent. Vacations should be taken on or near water, especially the ocean. NEPTUNE sextile PLUTO (**) Neptune sextile Pluto is an aspect of extremely long duration. The current sextile between these two planets has been affecting generations for the last forty years. This long term Neptune aspect influences on society represents constant opportunities to change the course of existing structures and pave the way for new ones. Those who will live under the influence of the other aspects (i. e. conjunction, square, trine, and opposition) as they occur between these planets in the future will have to deal with the ideologies and other societal institutions that we have had the opportunities to create.

Six
SCORPIO on 6th HOUSE
The sixth house describes your job, daily responsibilities (paid and unpaid), and those who work for or with you. It also represents your health, and physical fitness.
Scorpio ruling the sixth house indicates those who need to control their mundane environments. If they work at home they feel compelled to manipulate the domestic environment. If there is too much chaos at home, they may stay out of the house as much as possible. It is not a good idea for others to visit them unannounced. Those who work in an office or other environment outside the home, work better without interference from co-workers. Many of these individuals prefer to work for themselves, by themselves, or hold positions that give them an element of personal control in handling certain aspects of their assignments. Given a particular task or job, they are capable of completely revising it, often with great success. As a rule, they prefer service-oriented jobs such as teaching or counselling. They pay close attention to details and many of them possess formidable research and investigative abilities. When afflicted with physical illness, they are likely to demonstrate astounding recuperative powers. Whether by circumstance or design there is apt to be an element of mystery or secrecy associated with their job or the status of their health.

With Neptune in the 5th House you love pleasure and luxury (sometimes too much); you are very drawn to the theatre or cinema.

Seven
CAPRICORN on 7th HOUSE
The seventh house relates to marriage and partnership or joint ventures of any kind. It describes how you interact with people and how others tend to regard you. The seventh house is associated with legal matters, negotiations, contracts, and all open confrontations, pleasant as well as hostile.
Capricorn ruling the seventh house has many implications concerning the marital situation of these individuals. One of the first considerations is that they are not apt to meet with good fortune if they marry too young or without a great deal of consideration. There is also the possibility they will marry someone older or more mature. If there are negative factors in their personalities or backgrounds it can mean marriage and its attendant responsibilities may seem so severe as to prohibit their ever attempting to marry. Yet another potentiality is that either they or their marriage partners will view marriage as a means of obtaining security. There is no direct implication of whether they are the ones to embark on such a venture, or the ones destined to be married for their money or status. Capricorn’s influence on the seventh house does not mean marriage will be unhappy and indeed, it may be stable, enduring, and become happier as the years go by. However, others may tend to regard their marriages as restrictive, too formal or sombre. It may be difficult for them to enter into light-hearted relationships, and whether they mean to or not, may acquire responsibilities for people in whom they
have no special interest.

The planets in your chart are concentrated to the eastern (left) hemisphere: you have the enviable ability to make things happen, to create your own opportunities.

Eight
CAPRICORN on 8th HOUSE
The eighth house is related to taxes, debt, death, legacies, and the income you receive through marriage or business partner(s). It describes your resourcefulness , and your ab i l i t y to develop and use material assets as well as personal skills and abilities. The eighth house also indicates sexual attitudes and behaviour.
Capricorn ruling the eighth house indicates those whose marriage or business partners may have very few material resources to contribute. It is also possible that their partners are unwilling to either enjoy or share personal assets with them. This may also be the situation with regard to anything these individuals inherit, that is, it may be so small as to be negligible, or if it is a considerable estate, it may turn out to bring more sorrow than joy to their lives. Capricorn’s influence can also be positive since it can engender responsible handling of finances, which in turn, helps preserve and improve the status of resources. If there are negative factors in their personalities or backgrounds it can mean the possibility of inherited illnesses or physical defects. These individuals may harbour aversions to insurance matters and neglect them altogether, or worry excessively about being adequately protected. They may fear death, and perhaps even more, the tax collector. If not sufficiently in awe of the IRS, they should be, since discrepancies in which they indulge in this area are sure to be discovered.

Nine
AQUARIUS on 9th HOUSE
The ninth house describes higher education, advanced training, publishing, publicity, advertising, politics, foreign travel, foreign studies, religious and philosophical views and activities, and cultural pursuits. It relates to court decisions, a second marriage, and in-laws. To a certain extent the ninth house also describes the job or health of your mother.
Aquarius ruling the ninth house suggests that in the matter of higher education or advanced training, these individuals may be better suited to being self-taught. It isn’t necessarily that they aren’t willing or able to pursue higher education, but there is potential they may be too restless and independent to endure lectures and formal instructions. Left to their own methods and motivations however, they may become expert on subjects that interest them and develop impressive mechanical or artistic skills with little or no formal instruction. There is also implication with unpredictable Aquarius that they may experience sudden or unexpected disruptions in their education or training, and perhaps even be required to begin again at a later time. Religious or philosophical views are apt to be unpredictable and unorthodox. Even if they do not adopt totally radical views, their ideas are vulnerable to sudden change and they may rebel against traditional ideas and practices. They may also lean so far toward the traditional as to become ultraconservative and fanatical. This same point can be made about their ideas relating to art, music, or literature.

Ten
PISCES on 10th HOUSE
The tenth house describes your career and other longrange goals, public reputation, superiors and those in authority. It also relates to your father and his influence in your life.
Pisces ruling the tenth house indicates individuals who may face the necessity for guarding their reputations since there is danger of scandal or being connected with someone else’s disgrace. There is also a possibility they will have glamorous or mysterious public images. Their marriage or business partners may be found among those who live or were raised near water. The influence of Pisces implies several situations related to a parent, in most cases, the father. They may, for example, be abandoned, either literally or figuratively, by the father. There may also be a secret or sorrow or depression connected with the father, or he may be disabled, suffer from mental or emotional problems, or be addicted to alcohol or drugs. Negative potential includes the possibility of failure to get recognition they deserve or to achieve their goals. The career or long range goals they seek may involve aiding those who are disabled, institutionalised, underprivileged, or minorities. Religion, theatre, dance, art, medicine, or maritime industries are other possible areas that hold the key to their destinies.
MERCURY in 10th HOUSE
Mercury in the tenth house indicates individuals who want their thoughts and ideas conveyed to an audience. Even if they do not seek public attention for themselves, they want a public forum for their ideas, or in which to put these ideas into practice. They may write speeches for others, or become city planners and engineers. Others enjoy mental pursuits in public places such as chess matches in the park or writing letters to the editors of newspapers. There is also the potential for more than one career, or a dualnatured quality connected with their work. The negative potential of this Mercury house position includes difficulty in communicating with the father or other authority figures, and problems establishing their own authority. Mercury’s influence in the tenth house is an indication of writers, teachers, public speakers, or politicians. Their career or profession may demand a great deal of travelling, or involve transportation or networking. MERCURY sextile JUPITER (***) Mercury sextile Jupiter indicates those who find or are given many opportunities to demonstrate their intellectual, communicative or artistic skills. Most of these opportunities should be viewed as chances to acquire knowledge or an education or to further develop their talents and skills rather than ways to gain immediate monetary success, public recognition, or other tangible benefits.

Eleven ARIES on 11th HOUSE
The eleventh house rules friendships, organisations to which you belong, and income derived from self-employment or career (as opposed to wages earned from a job). It relates to the role you play in the lives of others as child, parent, lover, spouse, friend, social or business associate. The eleventh house also describes your hopes and aspirations and capacity for happiness.
Aries ruling the eleventh house indicates the likelihood of individuals who put their energy and vitality into establishing a wide range of social contacts and participating in the activities of clubs and organisations. The enthusiasm and energy of Aries influences and enhances their social lives and their friendships. Their friends are likely to fit an Aries description which means they will include soldiers, hunters, pioneers, sports enthusiasts, inventors, and risktakers of every description, as well as those with energetic gogetting attitudes. The negative potential connected with Aries on the eleventh house can mean individuals who develop antisocial attitudes, rudeness or irascibility. They may provoke or participate in arguments and open confrontations. It can also mean individuals who are never happy with what they have. They may work very hard to achieve something, only to decide they want something more or something else entirely. They may have many acquaintances but few friends, there being more energy and quickly-burned passion in their contacts than long term emotional commitment.
SUN in 11th HOUSE
Sun in the eleventh house indicates those whose personal identification in life is tied to friendships, social contacts, children for whom they are responsible, and organisations to which they belong. They may be excellent managers of organisations but inattentive in handling their personal affairs. Business acumen can bring wealth and status but they may prefer to remain in humble or temporary surroundings that do not require attention or care. Wideranging goals supersede their desire to be confined by too many material possessions. However, they can never have too many friends or amusements. Their ego is thrust outward into society, which means their activities and talents must be expressed in that direction. They are natural promoters and fund raisers. SUN conjunct VENUS (****) These individuals usually possess natural charm and social ease. Their egos are tied into their relations and interactions with others. They need to be liked and seek a wide variety of social contacts. The negative side of this aspect includes those who are antisocial and shun the company of others, or become rude and hostile. They are susceptible to flattery and not above using it themselves with successful effect. They are apt to be attracted to art, music, and beauty in all forms. Unless there are negative factors in their personalities or backgrounds to discourage such traits, they have good humour and the ability to flirt without offence.

SUN opposite SATURN (****) Sun opposite Saturn indicates the danger that many difficulties will provoke these individuals to adopt the philosophy that the end justifies the means. They may, for example, have an unhappy childhood, experiencing either poor health or some deprivation in their home environments. There is also the possibility that, as a result of difficult backgrounds, they become incredibly strong and determined. SUN opposite NEPTUNE (***) Sun opposite Neptune indicates that no matter how successful these individuals may be in some areas of life, accomplishing their true goals is very difficult. They may be able to capture public attention but it may be for the wrong reason. Their message may be heard but misinterpreted. If they gain wealth and status, they find these things do not satisfy them. No matter what success they make of themselves in the eyes of the rest of the world, they are nevertheless attracted by goals that are illusive or unattainable. SUN trine PLUTO (**) Sun trine Pluto indicates those able to take advantage of fortunate circumstances when they occur because they just happen to have the right thing, know the right people, or happen to be in the right place at the right time. Whatever assets and resources are at their disposal they will use to great advantage. They may have very little trouble attracting the help of powerful people or gaining positions of power or control for themselves.
MOON in 11th HOUSE Moon in the eleventh house indicates individuals who are apt to be well liked, optimistic and idealistic. Even those with a strong personality may tend to rely too heavily on what their friends and associates think. In turn, they are endlessly involved with the many confidences entrusted to them by these people. It is difficult for them to invest their entire concentration in one person. They need continuing contacts and a variety of roles to play in the lives of others. The influence of the moon suggests many aspirations that they develop can be so changeable it becomes difficult for them to establish definite commitments, practical plans, or long-range goals. Other potentials include individuals who make their home with friends, and it is certain that friends will be welcome to live in theirs. They may accomplish their ultimate aspirations through the assistance or guidance of friends. The influence of the moon in the eleventh house also implies that family members are apt to be among their closest friends.
a

VENUS opposite SATURN (****) Fear of rejection may be responsible for making those with Venus opposite Saturn reluctant to engage in romantic encounters, or in some cases even simple social encounters. Romance is not likely to be smooth and their efforts may be plagued by some impediment or another. They may find it hard to get recognition for their creative talents, or they develop such talents later in life. Perseverance and maintaining a sense of humour in every situation is how these individuals ultimately succeed. VENUS opposite NEPTUNE (***) Venus opposite Neptune indicates potential for disintegration of social and romantic relationships. These individuals can form distorted ideas about people and must take care in voicing their opinions. They may attract the society of people addicted to drugs or alcohol. In relationships they are easily victimised, and in turn may as easily become victimisers. Sensitivity, clear thinking, and maturity are needed at all times. VENUS trine PLUTO (**) Venus trine Pluto implies those with a strong sexual drive that may cause problems in youth but can bring wisdom and control when they are mature enough to handle it. Pleasures they have may be many or few, but their enjoyment is intense. Deep relationships they establish also become valuable psychological resources. They may effortlessly attract those in power and attain high ranking social positions themselves.
MARS in 11th HOUSE
Mars in the eleventh house indicates those who put energy and vitality into social relationships, and into devising schemes for attaining what they want. Under the rash and passionate influence of Mars, it also means they may work very hard for something but once they get it, they want something else. These individuals may have many acquaintances but few friends, there being more energy applied to participating in activities with friends than in making emotional commitments. Negative factors in their personality or background increase potential for hostile confrontation with friends and acquaintances. It can also mean those who are so irascible and contentious they are unable to attract anyone with enough patience to put up with them. The influence of Mars in the eleventh house indicates that most friendships are formed either with men or with those who have an Aries type of nature and energy. They may be drawn to sports enthusiasts, hunters, or daredevils. MARS square PLUTO (***) The strength of will power, emotional intensity, and physical stamina of those with Mars square Pluto are usually enough to get them out in front. What may cause them to fall behind again, however, is being too aggressive or threatening. They are apt to have incisive minds, and know exactly what they want and how to get it. For their own growth as individuals they learn to avoid giving in to revenge, jealousy and possessiveness.

JUPITER in 11th HOUSE Jupiter in the eleventh house indicates those who derive much happiness and joy through friends, children, and social contacts. They are very optimistic and enjoy everything life has to offer. These individuals are likely to gain personal growth and advancement through their network of friends and acquaintances. If they have no motivation or opportunity to make friends or join groups and associations, their progress may suffer accordingly. Sometimes these individuals collect more friends and acquaintances than a single lifetime can handle. They may feel they are friends with someone even though the association consists of nothing more than a single brief meeting. The negative potential includes those who never settle for anything less than the best and seek to attain the highest social status, no matter what the cost or whether it is obtained at the expense of more important values. It also implies those who find it difficult to ever be content, always wanting more than they have. JUPITER square PLUTO (**) Jupiter square Pluto implies a generation that succeeds through sheer force of will power. Societal situations which confront these individuals involve issues of power and control and, as a result, they are forced to analyse and understand human psychological motivations and behavioural patterns. How much of this spills into their private affairs is a matter of other factors in their personalities and backgrounds.
