he regeneration of Woolwich hasn’t just been the backdrop to the lives of Kevin Lasitz and Jose Dias since they moved to the area in 2012. It’s become an important part of the couple’s future. Having purchased a new-build apartment for themselves at Berkeley Homes’ Royal Arsenal Riverside in Olympic year, Kevin and Jose have gone on to buy four more as buy-to-let investors, convinced by their own experience of the development’s attractions. ying a art ent in di erent parts of the scheme, principally as a way to augment their pension plan, the couple also wanted to be in close proximity to their properties in order to manage them e ecti e y and ee a c e eye n their investment. The couple have recently invested in properties at the Waterfront and Pavilion Square phases of the development. While the latter is located beside buildings dating from 1694 with facilities including a swimming pool and spa, the latter is located directly on the Thames – the river being one of the key attractions for the couple themselves who enjoy taking the MBNA Thames Clippers services to reach Greenwich Peninsula, Greenwich itself and central London from Royal Arsenal’s on-site pier. His journey will change from four trains to Reading or three to central London to just one Crossrai train, hich i er a direct route to both his places of work when Elizabeth line services start running. “We’re also looking forward to the fast, direct connections to Heathrow Airport, which we use for holidays and to visit family and friends”, said Kevin.

“Looking towards our vacations and retirement, we plan to see a lot more of Europe, so being only a few minutes from London City Airport is fantastic. “When our family and friends come to visit, we never run out of things to do – both on the development and in central London. “With the pier at Royal Arsenal, it’s so easy to take them for a ride on the Clippers, which is a sightseeing activity in itself.” Locating all of their buy-to-let investments at Royal Arsenal Riverside has also allowed the couple to manage them easily.

The City, Tower Bridge, Wapping, Surrey Quays, the Isle Of Dogs, Canary Wharf and east London in general will soon be home to some of the finest new residential towers London has seen. iggins Homes is aiming for big impacts in smaller spaces with a range of “citipads” at its east London development White + Green. Kitchens will feature composite stone work surfaces and glass splash backs, while bathrooms will have rainwater showers. All apartments also boast either private terraces or balconies. The development is within easy walking distance of both Bethnal Green and Whitechapel tati n ering c nnecti n ia the Central line and the District and Hammersmith And City lines respectively.
